I’m not sure how they can run an honest business when you call to order and ask “what kind of breakfast sandwiches do you have” and get hug up on! Grant it, I always give all people the benefit of the doubt, regardless what culture they’re from and hey, technology isn’t perfect either. So, I called back, ask the same question and she hangs up on me again. So, I went there and I asked the woman, who was Hispanic, why she hung up on me and she said “I’m sorry” with absolutely no explanation. I explained to her that she cannot just hang up on people like that and it’s bad for your business. Okay, maybe you don’t understand English, I get it, but you can just be honest about it? Then she took my order, with no issue, so you do understand English, right? On my way out, another gentleman that was there said that he also called 6 times and got hung up on! Unbelievable! 😮. I did some research and this place used to be great when the prior owners ran it, but now, since the new owners took over, it’s gone down hill fast and my experience, I...
Read moreThis place has gone downhill for sure. I'm one of the original workers when this place opened up, and also had a second location in El Cajon, and though it has now expanded in terms of real estate and the menu items, it has gone downhill in both customer service and the time it takes to make the food. It's acceptable to take as long as they do to get the food out if let's say there's only one person working everything, but there isn't. Back when it had opened if you took that long to make tortas, smoothies, and fruit salads you were not cut out for the food industry. Mind you I was 15. The layout in that place now is inefficient, how are you going to have the fruit out front and then make the smoothies in the back, that's too much time to take one thing back and then to the front again. It should not take as long as they do to make you your order. They seem to have to lack pace or work ethic, or both. The food and smoothies are still good but the wait time is ridiculous. You really can make your food...
Read moreI am going to start by saying WOW! This place has a mean tuna sandwich. The food is so good and you can tell it’s fresh. I ordered the half tuna sandwich which came in a toasted wheat bread (delicious) and a veggie soup (so good) I also bought a diabla sauce which is fire! First time here, the employees are so nice and patient. Service is slow, I was recommended to call before picking up, which is why I am assuming that they have a lot of phone orders to fulfill. So keep that in mind. Also, and this is purely subjective, from a business standpoint and to enhance people’s experience. Please lower the music. Music is part of the ambiance, which wasn’t that bad, it was just not up to par with the food and service. I highly recommend trying this place. I will definitely come back, and try their special torta (heard a few people ordering that so I’m curious). 10 out of 10...
