If I can give this place 5 zeros I would!! I'm convinced their reviews are 💯 fake. Or or just people that have no clue what good food is or good service is. This was the worst place i've ever eaten at.The food is horrible. The service is even worse, or maybe the same just as bad. You are rushed the second you walk in.And while you're eating your food, they are clearing your table with their arms over your food. They're taking food off your table that you're not done eating. After touching it with their dirty hands from cleaning the restaurant they ask you if you want it back. The portions are small. The fajitas has about ten pounds of peppers like a vegetarian dish. You're lucky if you see any shrimp or steak in it.Because it doesn't exist. The cheese enchilada is a rolled up corn tortilla with smothered red sauce no cheese inside the tortilla or on it. Prices are out rages for drinks and food quality and quantity isn't there whatsoever zero!!! This restaurant seems to think that it's in old town or somewhere near the ocean or south park some hotspot in san diego charging like they're in those locations in serving quality food. We would have been better off going to taco.Bell and maybe paying $15 but I don't go to taco bell just saying.. and not paying $110 for food that was so salty unbearable to eat. No, cheese in the cheese enchiladas, no meat and shrimp in the fajitas charging us extra for tortillas a dollar each tortilla, the size of the palm of your hand. The other dinner that has chunks of like chuck roast smothered in red sauce had tons of salt in it enough to make you throw up.I told the waiter he thought it was funny, told the waiter about the fajitas he brought the manager over and they gave us a few thin slices of beef. Like we're beggars or homeless people off the street... I wrote a much detailed description with our horrible, unpleasant food and service tonight that we had unfortunately. but I had to delete it and write a shorter one. All I can say is I highly highly recommend you don't waste your money in this restaurant! Do not go to this place. The service is horrendous the food is disgusting.People are rude. They rush you out of the restaurant forty five minutes before closing. They rush you to order when you're not ready and don't know the menu cuz you've never been there. They reach over your food with their sleeves and dirty arms and hands and touch your food and expect you to eat it. Cuz they want to go home even though it's forty five minutes before the restaurant closes. They close at ten pm and they won't take your order after 9 pm go figure. The worst experience i've ever had stay away from this place don't waste your money. Go spend your money where you can enjoy your food and actually get what you're paying for and get...

I've been coming here since I was a little girl. Ever since the 80's it has been my joy . Now that I am turning 40, prices went up on everything, portions of the food went down, and the friendly service has went down. Twice, my husband has been humiliated by the check in girls during the night time crew on two separate occasions. We thought we would give them another try. My husband was forced twice to put on the bandana even though he was already covering his mouth and face by holding it close to his face . It wasn't good enough for them. He had to literally tie it around his head as if they really believe that any mask would protect them in the first place but they had to be forceful. We didn't understand the treatment. Clearly they saw me with a mask on , and clearly he can't breathe normal with anything hovering over his face as is as if he likes to go out on purpose to make a scene, and clearly they were not smart enough to know while they were already protecting their faces, and to make matters worse for their actions, We sat at the first table where we didn't even pass one person for them to treat us like we had covid. Why would we go out in the rain if we had covid in the first place? We are good eaters and spends a lot of money there every time we went there as a family. It's always been way more than 100.00. Sometimes 300.00 . But, this night was our date night as husband and wife and Due to those two trifling no good manners that are working there, they have lost our respect for them. We are sadly to say, that we will be spending our money else where due to those two girls that check you in. Which was Nov. 7th 2020 around 4:45pm. We were planning my party of 30 on November 14th for my 40th big bash . I've decided and told my husband to cancel with Felix my reservation for my party. I am done supporting a business that treats my husband poorly when he works hard and spends a lot of money at certain places just to be treated like he is a covid patient. If they are that scared ... They shouldn't be working if they have that much fear while wearing a mask already on their faces , they should scan people's heads, and they should allow others to be able to walk in and not be forced to tie something around their face especially when they are holding something over their nose and mouth and not literally having to tie something around their heads. I have asthma and it's bad enough I am being forced just to wear it. The crazy part people are that stupid to think that a cheap mask will save all mankind from getting anything when all it does is weaken the immune system putting your health more at risk to getting a simple cold that can turn...

So , in understand it was Mother's Day for all us Mexican mothers on Monday but maybe you would expect the restaurant would be wise enough to have the appropriate staff. Had to select this restaurant for the claim of being dog friendly (recently got a puppy) so anyway they informed my husband (pretty rudely might I add) that there was no walk ins available and only by reservation . Mind you I had called to try And verify it being pet friendly, only to be put on hold for 20 minutes until I hung up ) so once there , the man who seemed to be the supervisor, was quite rude to everyone. Honestly we couldn't find another dog friendly place nearby so we decided to wait. The hostess , explained she could put us on a waiting list vs turning us away like her supervisor had.I have to say that once seated (50 minutes later when they told us 20) the hostess was apologetic and the 2 servers explained they were alone with the huge crowd outside so everything was going to take much longer. I saw an elder gentleman leaving, then trip And fall on the stairs because they don't have handicap accessibility and he used a cane. They sat him down and then proceeded to leave him on his own for the rest of the walk to his car. Again this being the incredibly rude man, heavyset, Hispanic .... just left him there with no care for the elder mans wellbeing. I saw another customer go and complain to this same supervisor about being discriminated against. All in all, I won't be coming back, they should have been more gracious about being understaffed vs yelling at the customers. And legally I think they should have a disability friendly establishment .... which obviously they don't . I invite the owners to take a closer look to the people they are putting in charge , because they will continue to lose customers with the...

We just tried this Mexican food place in El Cajon, CA. It did not disappoint! I'm a first generation American of Mexican descent and I was raised eating homemade Mexican food by my Mexican great-grandmother. To start, the chips and salsa were very tasty. We could tell that the chips were made fresh, in house. The salsa was nice and chunky and held onto the chips. I really hate the watery type salsa they serve at other Mexican restaurants, where the salsa just slides off your chip and makes a big old mess! Not here! Salsa had just a little bit of kick, not too spicy. The service was a little slow due to insufficient staffing during the lunch rush hour. Hopefully the owners will read this review and hire at least 1 or 2 more wait staff to help keep wait times low. My husband had the Fajita Quesadilla. The meat was very tasty and it was filled with onions and bell peppers. Like fajitas stuffed inside a quesadilla! I had the Hacienda Carne Asada plate. The meat was well grilled and had a very tasty seasoning to it. I didn't need to add salt/pepper or anything! The Mexican rice was also very flavorful and reminded me of the Mexican rice made by my great-grandmother. And the refried beans were also very good. My auntie had the Enchiladas con Mole. They normally come with chicken, but she's staying away from eating meat so had them just with cheese, which they were able to accommodate. She said that they were very good. Overall, we all really enjoyed our meals. Service was slow, due to insufficient staffing, but we will definitely be coming back for more! Delish!

There were 4 of us. We all ordered different items from the menu. 1. Shrimp Fajitas... Sounds great! Not so much... There were more onions than anything, there were 6 medium sized shrimp that were burned on one side and pale on the other. Lacking in flavor. 2. Chicken Enchiladas... Dry on the inside with very little flavor. 3. Beef Flautas... The first thing we visibly noticed was the dark deep fried look about them. They tasted greasy and they were soggy on the inside. The grease over powered the seasoning or flavor of what little beef there was. 4. Fish Tacos (beer battered) These come with cabbage, pico de gallo and white sauce. I asked if they come with cilantro and onion and the answer was no, but our awesome waiter, Jerry, brought me a side including lime. There was a lot of thick cut cabbage, a little sauce and big lumps of fried cod, but very little flavor. I honestly thought I had lost my sense of taste, but I had beer and I tasted that just fine! We were all pretty hungry, and we're not the type to make a fuss, so we ate most of our food, but it didn't mean we liked it. I prefer to keep my reviews positive and encourage consumer shopping in our community. But there are 4 consumers that have to say adios to dining at Hacienda again.

Taco Tuesday happy hour from 4-6pm at the bar only with live music at night. We arrived after 6 and sat in the outdoor patio. The food was mediocre 3/5 but the service and split check option was 5/5 giving this place a total 4 stars. I had asked for split checks, we each ordered drinks with sampler and dessert to share among 4 of us. Two others shared an entree. When we got our checks, I was surprised to see that the charges were split even by 1/4 and 1/2! I wished all restaurants did this. I got the mango chamoy margarita. 16oz was $11 and 18oz was $12 so I got the larger size. It was blended and I couldn’t taste any alcohol except for the chamoy. The sampler came with Mexican pizza, quesadilla, tequitos, ceviche, guacamole, bean and cheese dip. The items were already pre cut in 4 pieces which was perfect for us. We were full from the sampler and complimentary chips and salsa. I got a chicken flautas combo that came rice and bean that I took home. We left a little bit of room for flan which was cold and firm. We also got the Carmel xango which is like apple filled donut with vanilla ice cream. Overall, great vibe and atmosphere. Inside I several dining rooms from quiet to loud. The live music was entertaining.
