Not enough well known popular stores. It's getting better. But I'm still disappointed with this mall. Stores seem to close not long after opening and the well known chain stores always seem to go out of buissiness there. There are so many stores that are not well known that seem to have all the same thing. If you have been to one store then you have been to them all. You won't see anything in one store that you haven't already seen in another. There are not enough variety of shoe stores. The few that are there are pretty much the same . For awhile it seemed to get better but now it's back to the same boring unexcited about going to shop there feeling . What happened to the coffee Bean? Now you can't count on that being there either and I'm probably the only one I know that isn't a fan of Starbucks . I held on to the hope of so something new and exciting being built in place of Sears but yesterday I saw what will be coming soon and again nothing to be too excited about . The only store I'm wanting to go to is the upcoming Burlington . But I don't see why a mall needs so many furniture stores? And an extra space storage? Why? Parkway plaza is uneventful not exciting and really bland. I would rather go anywhere else no matter the distance to shop for clothes and shoes and all the other unique things that other malls have to offer . This mall never seems to really get any better as time goes on. Is this why we pay a higher tax than everywhere else? El cajon needs to do a better job at promoting their local businesses . People who live here don't shop here and for good reason. Therefore money isn't being spent here in our town....
Read moreOf all the malls in San Diego this one's probably the lamest. Nobody really wants anything at any of these stores. The place is completely empty no one goes here anymore people who have businesses here suffer. Another business is closing down every other day here. The only reason I go is for the massage chairs is there about 15 or 20 of them in this mall scattered throughout $5 for 15 minutes. food at the food court is a $20.00 minimum $4.50 if you're just getting a drink. Once you arrive at this mall( it's probably a 200,000 sq ft) you might see 20 people. I see kids going into JCPenney and robbing it all the time grabbing jewelry and running out they get away with it I think there might be two security guards to work here total. Pretty unsafe. I was born and raised in San Diego the first time I went to parkway plaza was in 1982 they haven't changed a single thing in 40 years which goes pretty much the same for all of San Diego's roads. This mall is such a disgrace I don't think Walmart even wants anything to do with it anymore. They used to have a sign out front at Walmart but I think they...
Read moreEvery time I come to this assortment of stores and places to eat it reminds me of a mall in Portland Maine that I used to frequent quite a bit when I live there before moving to California and being out here in California there's numerous Mall s in plazas but I would have to say that parkway plaza is my favorite and my first choice if I was to refer this place to anybody who asked although this place is constantly in construction for whatever reason and changing stores I can find anything I want when I go here Plus the Easter Bunny goes here and Santa Claus and my kids get a kick out of that and if my financial resources are on the up and up during those holidays I usually get pictures with the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus with my kids I definitely do enjoy the assortment of places to eat in the food court and I'm absolutely madly in love with the candy store I'm a candy Fein and that little candy store that's off to the side of the food court it's probably one of the best I've ever visited besides the old fashioned candy...
