Ordered a regular Italian sub online for pick up to go with a promised ready time of 12:30 pm. Got to Jersey Mike ‘s in El Centro and showed my order on my phone to a lady behind the counter and she told me they were working on it. In the meantime over a dozen new customers walk in and form a line and begin ordering sandwiches. The promised ready time for my order came and went and no one has told me my order is ready. I approached the register and showed my ticket number to a girl behind the counter who scrambles to try and find it and then tells me there’s a problem with it. So I just stood in front of the register and didn’t move until someone finally began to make my sandwich. The walk ins are all giving me dirty looks but I had my cane in case anyone tried to get violent. Once they completed my order they put it in a bag and flung it at me and said “Here.” I was so angry but as I am a disabled Vietnam US Navy veteran I could not have endured a physical altercation so I left and I will never return to any Jersey Mike’s. Typical poor service from another business here in the...
Read moreSmall place, overcrowded, reasonably priced for this economy (reg. Size prized between $11&$12 dollars) however the portion sizes of some, not all subs leave a lot to desire for that price(see pics specifically the Buffalo Chicken Philly) The Pepper Relish is indeed the star of the show. Purchased a 16fl oz bottle for $6 and the creamy Stubborn Sodas are nice as well. The bread is not too soft, not too hard, absorbs the sauce moisture just right and the sandwiches do not fall apart. With great flavor. First pic is of the Chicken Philly, like I said where is the chicken? It don’t help that it’s more like ground spreadable chicken either cuz that allows for minimal amounts and it looks bulky cuz of all the lettuce and veggies. Will go once again after the “hype” has died down because this first $70 trip (4 reg subs, 3 miss Vickie’s, 3 cream sodas and relish) was mildly...
Read moreThis was my 1st time at Jersey Mike's. 1st off the place is small compared to the restaurant Carrows that occupied this restaurant before. Next it was very warm inside, it was 113 degrees outside. We got our food to go because it was so warm. Now we ordered 2 Mike's Philly cheese steak sandwiches I've never had a Philly cheese steak sandwich except for the ones I make at home. The steak was tender and there was plenty of it next the cheese was all melted to perfection the onions and bell peppers I felt like I wanted more but the real star of the show was the bread. I want more bread. I can't make that at home. So for affordability I'm going to subway but when I want to splurge and treat myself it's...
