food is delicious,i love it so much, but theirs a problem ,not with the food.the service,i went a few months ago,i wanted to get korean barbecue with my parents,we went in it was all nice and clean, but when we got seated we had to wait a whole hour just to get our order, the kitchen was already about to close and we decided to leave since it was already getting really late and since the kitchen was closing already, the woman their was just at the cash register doing whatever she was doing, she kept passing by us and looked at us and didnt even bother to take our orders.the two times i went their the service was excellent,im not sure what her name was but she had black glasses, black hair and tanned skin, she took everyones order besides us,they ran out of the meat we wanted and decided that we were gonna have 2 minutes just to have a look on the menu again, the second time we went the service was excellent, the woman was so kind to us took our orders really fast and the food was delicous, they didnt have a sauce that we wanted so she kindly apoligized to us,she was very kind,im not sure if they were treating us different because we were paying a lot more since we got korean bbq, sushi and chicken and because the very last time we went we were only getting korean bbq,not sure if i would go back but still craving the delicious kimchi,chicken,miso...
Read moreWe went here for the first time. It was me and 2 of my co workers the restaurant was clean walking in. We waited 15 minutes for someone to greet us and to sit us down. We sit down and the waitress came and asked for our drinks when she came back she took our order and then left. The waitress came back and turned our grill. It took forever for the food to cook. The food was amazing and was well worth it. We ate our food and just waited sitting down like 45 minutes we were ready to pay and no one would come back to our table. My co worker walked around and looked for a our waitress and he could not find her. We asked another girl if she can cash us out because we were in a hurry and she did she was like were is your waitress??? After we pay about 1 hr after we saw our original waitress she was like oh hi? What happened? All stoned !!! She smelled like marijuana and cheap perfume. I told her was it 4:20 pm or what? She just laughed ha ha. We did not tip her and we told her she just left and never said nothing. Next time the waitresses goes on break or what ever let us know please and don't come back smelling like marijuana and cheap perfume with clear eyes all on your...
Read moreGoing there I had mixed feeling about the place. Because you know imperial valley is hit and miss. This place is a hit, though.
I kinda expected small plated portions of meat but they were of decent portions. We usually don't get pork belly but we were delighted with the sliced pork belly. Also at most KBBQ the bulgogi is overly sweet. Here at Khan's it's not. We actually ordered it twice.
So glad that radish paper and steam egg was on the menu, my two favorite sides. The banchan were nothing extra ordinary though but good none the less. To start you get two dipping sauces, black vinegar and a sort of sweet chili paste. I like those with Chinese food but not with my KBBQ. We asked if they had sesame oil and yes they do. Salt and pepper sesame oil, at most KBBQ this is a staple. Maybe our waitress didn't know or forgot but so glad they have it.
I think this may be a monthly outing for us. It was SO GOOD! They also have a "a la carte" menu so when I feel like dining without the Mrs. it's good to know that Khan's Is an option. Next time I'm baegopa (I'm hungry) for KBBQ I'm headed...
