I waited 40 minutes in the drive thru, ok new place need to wait. When I placed my order for my entire family, one item I requested was a charbroiled hamburger, worker asked with cheese, I said No cheese. After I made my complete order and was repeated back, worker added cheese to the burger, so again I said No cheese and then repeated my order back finally correct. I come to pickup window to pay again repeated back my order and the burger had cheese again. So they corrected the order on the spot, still however charging me for a burger with cheese, gave me my food, and I replied hopefully the burger will not have cheese and worker replied I hope your order is right. I got home found out they forgot my chicken club sandwich, bummer, luckily I live close, went back to the habit walked inside and asked for the manager, I told the manager I did not get my chicken club sandwich at the drive thru and showed my receipt, the manager without saying a word took my receipt told the workers to make the sandwich. I waited about 5 minutes and the manager gave me my sandwich and said I also gave you some fries too. I thought that's nice and told the manager I want to give you some advise, common courtesy dictates when someone makes a mistake an apology is given and I didn't get one. Then the manager said she apologized before, I told her I didn't hear it, and she said that's because with a really raspy voice she can't talk loud as she is sick. Read moreI am not one to leave unhappy reviews....but today's experience takes the cake. I've come to the Habit in El Centro a half dozen times already... the food has been pretty good overall... burgers have solid flavor, but fries have always been soggy. The wait time has been ridiculous everytime I have come....both dine in and drive through. I made a mistake on a drive through order and realized I was missing a burger after I got home. I called in to place the missing burger order over the phone in hopes of cutting down on the wait time. What a terrible experience - the lady was rude over the phone, charged my cc, and then told me it would be almost 30 mins for the order to be ready. I asked her for options and finally asked to cancel it and waited on hold for over 5 mins... she then gave me an excuse that no supervisors were available and I told her not to worry about the cancellation and I was on my way to pick it up. 10 mins later she calls me back and tells me that she cancelled it.... what the?!?! I told her that I had just arrived to pick it up and it should have been ready in a few mins. She went on to lecture me about how its lunch rush and it was my fault. No empathy, no apology, didn't provide any options...just began to dig into me when I said that the experience was terrible and then she hung up on me. The front of the house employees were very nice, but my main issue was that the manager came off as rude and condescending when telling me and my friend that their store policy for customers that walk into the lobby for to-go orders have to wait outside for their food (due to COVID protocols). We were coming from out of town so we weren't aware of any of these policies, and the manager talked down to us like we should have known. Nowhere in the establishment was this policy advertised, from what I could tell. I'd kind of understand enforcing this policy with a "full" house of customers dining in, but when I was there, there were only 5-6 other people in the restaurant dining in, it was hot outside, and my friend was on crutches, and they still told us we had to wait outside in the heat for our food. I just feel like there are better ways of implementing safe protocols due to COVID instead of having paying customers waiting out in the heat for the food to be made and given to us especially when this "fast food" location has a history of taking upwards of 20-30 minites to get the food out. I'm not sure if this policy is still in place, as I refuse to go back to this location after experiencing an utter lack of compassion and understanding, but with temperatures rising in the summer months, just be aware if in the event that this is still their store's policy for walk-in...
