Johnny B's — Restaurant in El Dorado

I really love their food, but an hour and 15 minute wait from the time you sit down until your food arrives is way too long in my opinion, regardless of how busy the place is. They could really benefit from a bigger dining room with a comfortable waiting area, a bigger kitchen with more cooks, and more staff. It's the only place in town to sit down and have a nice home cooked breakfast.

My food didn't even all come out together... my 3 egg white veggie omelette (that I regularly order so I should know) was smaller than usual and missing some vegetables that I usually get, and my turkey sausage had little bits of bone fragments in it. I had to spit them out. Also I'm not 100% sure it was really turkey sausage... but was told that they changed vendors or brands recently?... so I'll let this slide.

The waitresses are friendly most days based SOLELY on their mood and how busy the place is. I had to ask another waitress yesterday morning to refill my water on my way to the bathroom because I was afraid to ask our waitress because she was so overworked and obviously aggravated by how busy they were between walk ins and call in orders. It's not my fault as the customer that your establishment can't keep up with demand.

I work in food service myself and regardless of how busy we are, I can multitask without an attitude. I barely saw a smile on two of the waitresses faces all morning, besides Jennifer who was polite and helpful and she wasn't even our waitress. She even remembered I like lemon with my water without having to ask, and almost brought my husband a Dr. Pepper instead of orange juice by accident just because SHE REMEMBERED that he always orders Dr. Pepper and his OJ order yesterday morning threw her off. Again, SHE WASN'T EVEN OUR WAITRESS!!

Noticed this morning that I was DOUBLE CHARGED for a tip yesterday, so I'll be making a phone call in the morning to the restaurant and also my bank. And unfortunately after our experience based on that and the ridiculous wait time, I don't think we will be back. This is not the first time this has happened, and I refuse to let it slide any longer.

You seriously got 3 stars ONLY because your food is mostly decent and that Jennifer Alexander is such a gem. Missed Jessica something awful yesterday. Sorry, Johnny B's. Lost some long...

I'm from out of town and never ever ever in my life have I ever seen or had bad service like this place (211 S West Ave El Dorado, AR) ! I do not recommend this place in fact, run far from it! We waited at least an hour for our food. I saw a caucasian couple who came in after us wait maybe like 20 mins to be served their food then, a table of at least five to six caucasian young men/boys was served maybe like 30 mins yet, my family who have been sitting there way before either parties wasn't served in such a manner. When a server brought out not even half our food we ordered she brought it to the wrong table (the caucasian couple who had already finished there food) then she comes and brings it to us. The order was incomplete, cold, stale, and flavorless. May I add the whole time we were waiting for our food I saw one of the servers eating her food in the back (not on break either) meanwhile, my family and I were not acknowledged at all while waiting at the table for our food no refill and no checking in to let us know any updates. Anyway, I told the server I was ready to leave as my son’s food wasn't even brought out or our other half order of food and let her know I will gladly pay for the drinks and cold, stale, flavorless one plate food they brought out after waiting an hour. She told me I needed to wait for the manager to be comp and I'm like comp for what ill pay you for what you brought out after an whole hour while the rest of our order was never brought. The manager came I let her know about the poor service and food and told her I need to go so I can feed my child. Overall, this was a horrifying and frustrating experience. Whoever owns this restaurant you definitely need to re-train or hire some younger people....

IF YOU HAVE NEVER EATEN HERE... YOU MUST GO TODAY!!!!

I HAD JUST HAD SEVERAL TEETH EXTRACTED TWO DAYS BEFORE WE WENT TO EAT HERE AND I WAS SCARED TO EAT TO MUCH BECAUSE OF THE PAIN AND SORENESS. WELL LET ME TELL YOU WHAT I ENDED UP ORDERING THAT MORNING!!! I HAD A STEAK AND EGG BREAKFAST WITH GRITS, BACON, HASH BROWNS, TOAST AND (OF COURSE) ICED TEA WITH SUGAR AND LEMON. THE YOUNG LADY WHO TOOK OUR ORDER WAS JUST AS LOVELY AND SHE MADE SURE THAT MY STEAK WAS NOT OVER COOKED NOR WAS IT UNDER COOKED!!!! IT WAS SO PERFECT AND TENDER AND JUICY AND I HAD JUST A DAB OF A-1 SAUCE ON THE SIDE. I CAN NOT TELL YOU HOW MUCH I WAS EXPRESSED WITH THE FOOD AND THE SERVICE. I WAS ABLE TO EAT THE ENTIRE STEAK AND EGGS AND ACTUALLY I DON'T THINK I LEFT ANYTHING EXCEPT THE TIP LOL!!!

SO IF YOU ARE HUNGRY AND DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HECK YOU WANT TO EAT... GO TO JOHNNY B'S AND I PROMISE YOU, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!

THANK YOU LADIES FOR YOUR TIME AND SERVICE!!! WE HONESTLY ENJOYED OUR DINNER AND I LOVE IT EVEN MORE BECAUSE Y'ALL HAVE THE OUTSIDE SEATING!!!!
