Marilyn's on the Square — Restaurant in El Dorado

The live band was amazing! The lead singer was killing it on his guitar and his vocals were as smooth as butter! He covered every base of new to old and genre! Where my problem lies is with the actual bar... They charged a cover charge which I am hoping was to cover the amazing band but their drinks were crazy. I was charged $10 for 6oz of margarita without the shot on the side or garnish of lime or salted rim. Oh and the air hockey table is busted. The censors for keeping score on the left side don't even work so the only plus side to that is that the game lasts longer... but if competitive then you should keep score out loud! If you plan to have a company function and you’re promised a set amount of time...I suggest using a different venue. For what ever reason the owner had his employees stop providing service 1.5 hours before the promised closing time. This made no sense as he had 30-50 paying customers. The entire group was asked to leave an hour before the promised closing time. The owner was pretty rude in his actions which reflects on the function and those hosting. He owns Black Cat and Mink Eye as well so I highly suggest not using either location for large groups or functions as he obviously doesn’t care to have...

This place is great. For me, really the only good place in town. Very clean, staff is awesome. Drink prices are normal. Pool table, dart board. No jukebox, but they place streaming and the bartenders will let you pick and play songs. So makes up for it. They are cutting out their draft beer, so bottle/cooler drinks or mixed drinks.
