This is our first and last time visiting this restaurant. I don’t eat seafood, but went because my husband wanted seafood. I ordered the steak with a loaded potato and grilled onions. I asked that the steak be very well done-no pink. They brought out my steak and it was covered in seafood, which I told the waitress I can not eat seafood. It’s not even what I ordered. And they didn’t bring my potato, they gave me a side of vegetables that I didn’t order and didn’t even come with my meal. The waitress assured me that they would fix my order. I asked that she made sure that it was a new steak, to not just take off the seafood and give it back to me, literally 2 minutes later she brings it out and that’s exactly what they did. They brought the same steak and actually gave me the seafood on the side 🤦‍♀️ At this point I told her to remove my meal from the check and forget it. The manager came over at this point and made excuse after excuse, instead of just apologizing and comping my meal, as asked. She said the waitress got confused and gave me the special...although at the beginning of our visit she told us about the special, and it was flounder, not steak. She pushed and talked me into letting them bring out the correct order....my family is all eating so I said ok. Reminded her that I want it very well done. They brought out my steak again and I could tell immediately that it wasn’t well done, not even close. I cut into it and it’s completely pink. Again, I send it back and told them to not charge this meal to my check. Another waitress or whomever it was came to the table again, pestering me to let them recook it. At this point my family is completely done eating and I just wanted to leave. Nobody apologized for the several mistakes, I never received my loaded potato, and they didn’t do anything to make this right. Horrible service,...

Recently, my visit to Valdos in the Seabrook area left quite an impression. We went to Seabrook to dine at another restaurant we frequent but they were out of stock on some items and was serving a limited menu that day so we decided to try some place new. In search of a seafood dining experience, Valdos had great reviews so we gave them a try. The ambiance, though not extravagant, was comfortable, and despite the rainy weather, the patio overlooking the water seemed inviting.

My husband opted for the stuffed flounder, prepared blackened with a side of mixed veggies, and it exceeded expectations. The dish was a clear winner, and I'm already eyeing it for my next visit. On my plate was the seafood platter accompanied by onion rings. While everything was cooked to perfection, the catfish fell short, I didn't care for the mushy texture. However, the shrimp were very good and the onions ring were exceptional. Next time, I'll steer clear of fried options, leaning towards their grilled or blackened offerings.

For dessert, we indulged in the bread pudding, which was equally exceptional. And to complement the meal, one of the waitstaff recommended a margarita that was simply divine, ranking among the best I've tasted, I just can't recall the name.

Overall, the food was superb and the service was top-notch. Valdos certainly warrants a return visit, looking forward to trying more of their dishes and dining...

The place is so beautiful I’ll give it that but that’s where it ended. We ordered margaritas and they were honestly pretty good. However the worst part was the food. We started our order with the chips and salsa with cheese. The salsa was good. I recommend it but the cheese was not as great, it was just not good. There was no flavor and it seemed undercooked. But the sourdough bread was AMAZINNG!!! The food was portioned well but there was just no flavor. I ordered the crawfish etoufee and while it was a big portion every spoonful was filled with the flavor of tomato paste and the sea. I had a side of pasta that was blander than chalk. Very disappointing. That was it. I couldn’t even finish it. My friends who accompanied me had the salmon and the enchiladas respectively. Their dishes were just as appealing. No flavor but big portions. The salmon over yellow rice was the most redeeming of them all yet it still tasted like it was seasoned with only salt. The enchiladas were reminiscent of hamburger helper without the helper and that’s me being as nice as possible. Our waitress was nice and we didn’t blame her but the food was so bland and we really tried. I even asked for salt, pepper, and hot sauce, but after adding all three there was no change to the flavor. I cannot truthfully say that I would recommend for any one I know to go here but the staff was there, they weren’t but they weren’t...

My husband and I ate here for an early dinner (around 6pm) on a Saturday night, no wait at all and sat outside. We were visiting and this place was suggested by a friend. Environment: casual, we wore jeans and a t-shirt or blouse with nice sneakers. In no way cheap, but comfortable dining. It is situated next to a busy street and you are separated from the water by their parking lot, but our view of the sunset was still very nice. Waitstaff: at first a little awkward (the hostess couldn't tell us how long the patio would be cleaned until we could sit there, until the bartender said it was fine), but otherwise our server and from what I observed of the next table's server were very attentive, friendly, and helpful with suggestions. Food and drink: we got the seafood stuffed jalapenos to start, and the Acapulco shrimp and seafood pasta as mains- all absolutely delicious and I would get again. A little on the heavier side given the portions and the shrimp fried (we took half home) but flavorful and unique. We also got the mango and sangria margaritas and those looked and tasted fantastic. I will say the menu is a little overwhelming, as they have not only seafood but Mexican and Italian options as well that together give you about 4 pages of menu items. Overall, impressive, reasonably priced, and would recommend.
