Art's Burgers — Restaurant in El Monte

If I can give no stars I would. This place "used" to be mine and my families go to spot. I don't know what's going on with this restaurant, but the last 2 times I went I got super ugly attitude from the "Owner". I went through drive-thru ordered a breakfast burrito, drove up to window to just get ugly attitude with all employees who work there. Ignored it because I just thought you know what they are just probably having a bad morning its cool I understand. Weeks go by I go through drive-thru again ordered, got like a aggressive tone with whom ever was taking my order, so that kinda brought my happy morning a tad down. So I drive up to the window, and got an even nasty bratty ugly attitude from the owner/manager saying " Great! Now I can't get out cause she parked to close to the window!" Doesn't even look at me but looks at all her coworkers and rolling her eyes while she's saying that. I don't get it? Look lady if your miserable with whatever is going on in your life, don't take it out on your customers who support your restaurant to keep standing. Your unhappiness that your serving to your customers are consuming all that negativity. Work on yourself and fix your issues. Not fair on your customers who drive a distance to grab some good food to just pay for attitude and eat your bad energy food. Please people I'm saving you your time and money to spend it where your treated friendly and gratefully. DON'T WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS...

We went there this morning to get breakfast burritos. We ordered a large bacon, egg, cheese, and potato burrito, a large sausage, egg, cheese, and potato, as well as a large big john burrito. While waiting for our food we observed the young gentleman going in and out of the the kitchen to the storage room for supplies. The first time he went and retrieved more orange juices. He put them in a container with ice but 1 didn't fit so he ended up putting it in the ice they use for the drinks and then proceeded to use that ice for a drink. He also used the cup instead of an ice scoop to scoop ice out. After that he went and retrieved ham from the storage and proceeded to place it on a dirty cutting board. This whole time not washing his hands or wearing gloves. He then proceeded to touch the ham separating it still without gloves and working on the dirty cutting board. Once we got home and took the burritos out we were surprised how small the "large" was. Once eating it there was barely any meat. We will not...

When I'm not in a rush, I love to sit and eat here. The burgers actually taste like real food (unlike McDonald's across the street), the service is great, and the Sunday and Wednesday burger deals just can't be beat.

Today I had a double cheeseburger meal and upgraded my fries to chili cheese fries. The burger was delicious of course, but it was my first time trying the chili cheese fries. I was very happy to find that the chili was more like Wienerschnitzel chili than Tommy's Burger chili. They were also very generous with the chili and I had more than enough to cover all of my fries. 10/10 would recommend.

If you are lucky, you might have a chance to see the area patrol cat, Bella! She's very cute, and friendly enough to walk by while you are sitting, but keeps her distance when people are walking around.
