CURRY TIME — Restaurant in El Monte

Stopped by around 4pm on a Tuesday. Just one other customer beside me so service was pretty quick. The food is mostly ready on the steak table and the wait is just for fresh naan which is delish. It took a while to get home, but food was packed well and warm when I was ready to eat. Food was as good as I remember. Goat curry is still my fave, but the two other chicken dishes were a close second. One I know is the black pepper chicken, which is a mix of a Chinese black pepper chicken and mild curry. The other chicken dish’s name is a mystery but I asked about a “fried chicken” option they have on a delivery service app. She explained that it was really fried but also something not on the steam table, but available if you order a 3 item combo which I did. It was a bit spicy and more grilled than fried but delish.

I’m not in the area much anymore since working from home, but lab to make it a point to order takeout when I am.

Note: call direct or order in the store. The wait is pretty short and better off the business gets to keep what little profits they can make these days. I use delivery services often when I need to, but also consider ordering direct when I can.

As you can see by the pics, they support delivery services as well so all good. Looks like delivery is free as well...

They cancelled my order for no reason. They didn't even tell me. They just waited until 9pm, then cancelled the order.

I ordered because I have no food at home right now. I understand times are tough right now... but they just sat on my order and then cancelled it without saying a word

I'm not spending my money here ever again. I'm going to just get my doordash refund.

This was not ok. I am not coming back. I do not wish to discuss this with any manager. I do not want the owner to invite me to come eat for free. None of that.

This was really messed up. I was so excited for this food. I haven't eaten any food at all. All day. I went to work for over ten hours, all day, didn't stop to eat lunch. only got up to go to the bathroom one time.

like I understand if you could not make the order happen. but a phone call. some sort of message.... would have been nice.

instead you guys just... cancelled the order and had DoorDash tell me.

now..... I HOPE I can get an order in somewhere else in time? or else I'm going to go hungry tonight.

I had a very bad experience from the 10 Indian Reasturant’s I have tried this week in LA area. I highly recommend the owner to try out other Indian Reasturant’s and understand the meaning of buffet and to my surprise I did call before going in and as per the context of our call the buffet included samosa and veg biryani but after reaching there we found out that it is part of the al carte menu and not included in buffet so because we had driven 15 min to this place we had a buffet with no appetizer, salad and dessert. Which costed us $29 including the service charge of $0.65 for using credit card seriously!!!!!!!! This a fast food place for super pricy menu. The only plus point is veg korma and saag paneer.

Madam you gave a pickle for free but pickle should have been part of a buffet in the first place. Though we had a nice time speaking to you I was very unhappy the way you charge the customers. Hopefully this review might change few things from your end and be helpful to...
