Original Tommy's World Famous Hamburgers — Restaurant in El Monte

At 2:28pm today 2/16/24 we came to this Tommy to enjoy a chili burger but as soon as we went up to the window we paid as usual but the lady that was serving us at the drive thru snatched the bill out of my hand that was red flag 1, when she gave us our drink that was a Pepsi at first it had no taste whatsoever like sparkling water so we ask her if she can change it out the lady didn't even let me finish what I was gonna say that was red flag 2, she took the drink to exchange it but her and the lady behind her who was throwing trash in the parking lot laughed with each other as if they were mocking us and it was confirmed after she gave us the drink back it was the same tasteless Pepsi mixed with diet pepsi when we asked for orange crush. i went to el monte tommy’s where i got mistreated by the drive thru employee simply by saying i hadn’t order 3 chili burgers that it was only 2. She slammed the window and came back with an even worst attitude asking me what did i order then so i proceeded to give her my order 32oz chili 2 chili cheese burgers 1 fry, slams it again recharges me never tells me how much it is until i asked her she gave me an attitude shook her whole head like what? i was shocked because i didn’t expect this for a simple order & visit i grew up in el monte this is my tommy’s i go to never gone thru this, as she gave me the bags i asked for chili peppers she answered were out and slammed the door again i waited there i asked her name which she said danny obviously she’s lying i asked for a badge number she said she didn’t have one. what the heck is this, why should my family and i have to go thru such a ugly time, i work in food business and this isn’t right it’s not...

Tommy's has lost a lot of its allure. Before you stood in line for less than five minutes and you received the coveted and messy chilly burger before you can settle the bill. The next thing you hear is "next", and you're off to inhale you're burger. The best stuff ever. Today it takes forever to order and the wait is even longer, but you figure that you should be delivered a better tasting burger with the quality of time that you have invested into ordering the Tommy's Chilly Burger, but you are not. In the past, I received a chilly burger and chilly fries that was messy and cooked quickly, but the work of the the cook was done at perfection where my taste buds where always amazed and screamed delicious.
