I work this area and after a year I decide to stop drive through at this location . I had a 100 gift card and I am not a Starbucks fan but I know I think most of your drinks . I never knew and I mean never knew how hard is to order a hot decaf coffee, it felt like a movie setting . I ask and I was happy thinking why pastry to combine with . I asked for a venti decaf . Barista : ha ! What do you want ? An americano ! Me : no not an americano a hot decaf coffee. Barista : we don’t serve decaf coffee. Me : would that be considered your blonde . Barista : I am confused I don’t know what you want a decaf or blonde or shots of decaf expresso. Me : trying to control myself I don’t even want pastry no more , I am bothered upset like I get it. (Flair Dr) Tried to call in my order of Traveller but their phone line was down (I was told by their staff afterwards). Placed my order in person before 8 am, waited until 8:15 and asked a staff to check on my order to see how much longer. I was then told my order was given to the kitchen 4 mins (@8:11) ago. When I complained to the shift manager, I was told I should've ordered on the app or by phone to avoid the wait. (Although he apologized but I thought this response was really inappropriate.) He told me I could either wait for another 15-20mins or get a refund. I had to be at work by 8:30 and I didn't get what I paid for, so naturally, Starbucks shouldn't keep my money. I got my refund but I was really upset that I wasted time in the morning for nothing. Coworkers were expecting coffee, I ended up with nothing.
I filed a complaint to Starbucks right after and the matter was resolved after. With everything being automated, I really don't know why orders have to be passed to the kitchen on a sticky note. Time in the morning is precious to every working person, no one has time to sit at a Starbucks just to visit. I did a mobile order and usually just wait in line and tell the cashier, then I get my things. This time when I told the cashier she just told me "It's over there" and pointed to her right. I stood by the area where everyone pick up their drinks for about 7 minutes and then asked another employee where I get my order. She just handed me the drinks and left. I still needed a straw and cup holder, but with no help I had to stretch my pregnant body over the island and grab it myself. I still needed my food. I asked again where my mobile food order was and the employee said, 'It should be in the front but I'm not sure." How are you not sure? Why don't you check or help me check? I asked how she could not know where my order was. She worked there after all. I found my order myself by the front door and just left. They did not even check if that was my order or not.
