We stopped today with a large group of family from out of town. We wanted them to experience this delicious food we have been in love with for years. Sadly we all left with a really bad taste in our mouth when it comes to their customer service. My husband and i take our children often to eat at the location off the 60 fwy ...I really expected the same treatment here but manager krystal made it clear our business is not important. As we waited for a table, do to my schedule at work i decided to order ahead for myself since i would have to leave early. Krystal took it upon herself to kick my husband, my kids and my self out of the bar area/ordering both. We were later told by another employee customers are not allowed there for a long period of time and she probably diren't realize our situation regarding time but we were more than welcome to still be there. It makes sense and we appreciate him coming to try and fix the situation but it was a bit late. Krystal made it clear she wanted us gone we explained i had ordered ahead because i had to work and wanted to eat before i ran out of time so it wasn't that she diren't know my situation regarding time, she plain diren't care. Our party was still arriving and some were outside waiting. Her attitude and tone was more than uncalled for specially her eye rolling. We all work hard and when we go out specially with family we expect respect. When my husband said ok we will be leaving then and tried to let her know we were shocked by her taking this attitude. Her answer was "yea ok" and rolled her eyes again. My husband and I both tried to tell her we were just there because i ordered food ahead but would be leaving outside to wait the rest of our time for a table. She just said "well your not allowed here" we asked to talk to a manager she answered with a smart remark and smirk, that she was the manager. It really breaks my heart to have been treated with such disrespect and lack of professional ethic in a restaurant chain that we been loyal customers for many years...our hard earn money has been spend there many times but as krystal said "well your not allowed here" shes right i will not allow myself to return to this restaurant...i will not allow myself to give friends or family any more $ gifts to come visit this restaurant and i for sure will not allow myself to advice friends and family to visit this restaurant as i use to.

Read moreThis was our second time ordering from Boiling Crab. Our initial visit was pleasant and we all had enjoyed the food. This time we ordered several bags of mild shrimp and crab. The shrimp was mushy and not very tasteful. The spice level was more hot than mild for all of our orders. I attempted to call at about 755 which is 5 minutes before they close. While I understand this is too late to place an order, I just wanted to speak to a manager regarding our order. The several calls went unanswered, which is why I am leaving this review. Also, they could be more friendly at the door. They require you to show that you received a second text on your phone. I had forgotten my phone in the car and the doorman would not let me in until I retrieved my phone to confirm I got a second text. I believe I was the only in store customer at the time. With the in store traffic low, you could simply check for the customer instead of inconveniencing them to return to show a text.
Update: After several calls they finally approved a partial refund for the shrimp portion we ordered. They admitted to not telling us that their mild is actually 5/10 due to a change or issue of supply line. That alone can and did ruin our food, yet they only refunded the shrimp. Their customer service lacks as their initial solution was a 25$ gift card for a 120$ order. Its clear they do not care about customers experience as they won’t reply to negative reviews and work to make things right. If your mild is a 5/10 as claimed, why would you even offer mild? Read moreI can’t say that I am a fan of this restaurant. The price is really high and the food quality is not worth the price. Especially since you do not get full service. Your drink will run dry. You can try to flag someone down but ultimately you will have to go to the counter. When I did go to the counter 3 employees made eye contact and quickly averted my gaze and passé me by. It took me a while shouting excuse me! Just to be ignored. I would go to the other end of the counter and say excuse me! And be ignored. When you see someone standing there with their empty cup in hand, lid off looking somewhat stressed and obviously trying to flag someone down, one would think an employee would deduce that the customer needs assistance. But no, they look at you like nope not going to help you and walk on by to stare at the counter or the back wall to avoid your gaze once more. This is more of an over rated and overpriced fast food seafood “restaurant”. I would rather go to the Crab Pot in Long Beach for this price. The environment is so much nicer. The food is WAY better! And the service is hands down better than this place. They actually serve the table and wait on the table. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
