Restaurant: Aki Sushi, El Paso
Review:
• Sushi Quality: 🍣 The sushi at Aki Sushi is exceptional, offering authentic flavors that are a standout in El Paso.
• Pricing: 💵 Prices, particularly for nigiri, are on the higher side, but the quality justifies the cost.
• Non-Sushi Items: 🍗 The Hibachi Chicken was somewhat dry and didn’t meet the high standards set by the sushi.
• Ambiance & Service: 🌟 The ambiance of Aki Sushi is both clean and welcoming, with an equally impressive exterior. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring a great dining experience even on a busy Friday night. They were busy but made sure to check on each table with care and politeness. Definitely a five-star experience in this regard.
• Value for Money: 💰 The lunch menu is more reasonably priced. The dinner menu feels a bit expensive, but it’s worth it for the sushi quality.
Conclusion: Aki Sushi offers a fantastic sushi experience with a very pleasing ambiance and excellent service. If you’re in El Paso and looking for high-quality sushi, this is the place to go. Overall, it earns four stars for its superb sushi and...
Read moreA clean and quality dining experience with simple, unassuming ambiance! It’s All about the Quality of Food and service which to date has been excellent! We usually do the 6-roll special, though we’ve dabbled with most of the other menu items at times. 9 times out of 10 our meal—no matter what is ordered, is accompanied with Miso Soup and a small fresh salad. The sashimi, shrimp, crab and vegetables used in their rolls are of high quality and fresh. The service staff always go above and beyond! They’ve been friendly, helpful and accommodating. We are particularly fond of the consistent personal touches that made us feel ‘remembered’ and welcome* each time we dined there! *Caveat- we recently learned that ownership/leadership has changed hands and simultaneously, wholesale changes have been to wait-staff as well, which we find alarming. We have yet to dine there since these changes have been made, so cannot comment with confidence on whether the changes have altered the service we’re accustomed to, or if those changes have caused a dip in overall quality...
Read moreThe quality of the sushi is really good and tastes like it was actually from Japan, and the restaurant is very pretty, beautiful even. it was just way too expensive to be honest. My wife got the sushi bowl and I got the udon bowl with tempura and spinach and egg. The udon bowl was okay, it tasted authentic but it was overpriced for an udon bowl.
There is no more lunch special, which was very disappointing. Sadly I don’t think I’ll come back, not because the food was bad, but just the prices. I strongly feel like if this place was more affordable for the general public it could be a real gem. It’s really sad to see it empty because I really appreciate what the owner is doing by bringing somewhere new to El Paso with good quality fish, but I just really hope they lower their prices (especially for lunch on the weekdays) before it’s too late.
They also charge for using a credit card which is always a disappointment at...
