My husband and I just got married at 150 Sunset this past Friday, and when I say I can’t stop raving about this venue and the wedding planners that work here I mean it. My husband and I had a specific vision for what we wanted our wedding to be but that vision was surpassed in beauty by what Jasmine and Micaela brought to life.
From beginning to end the process of wedding planning at this venue was seamless and painless. Everything was laid out for us plainly so that there was no stress ever on our behalf. We basically only had to select what we wanted and it was done for us. Our florist, DJ, and Chef all work on behalf of the venue so we didn’t even have to worry about planning those details on our own end.
The entire team at 150 Sunset worked with us as though this were their own personal wedding. It really felt as though they were an extended part of our family. I’ve heard of things going wrong at weddings all the time and I was prepared to have a hiccup here or there, but to my delight every single detail went perfectly. Jasmine was so attentive with us throughout the months of planning and she was always only ever an e-mail away. During the actual wedding she was practically my second maid of honor. We felt like actual royalty throughout the day.
Words cannot express the depths of my gratitude for 150 Sunset. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and straight out of a fairy tale. The entire day felt like living out a movie with my husband and the perfect beginning to our marriage. There is so much more I could write about the experience but I will just end this by saying it was the best choice we could’ve ever made for our...
Read morePlace and the food look really nice inside and outside......and the good qualities end there. Met a friend who was already there and waited forever for a waiter and when he got there didn't even ask me for a drink order. Dropped off our food and bailed before I could even look up and ask him for a drink.
Then he brought my friend the completely wrong sandwich so had to wait even longer. Had to go inside to get a drink and asked the bartender for a Dr. Pepper and then to my complete amazement at such an "upper" establishment a can was pulled out and poured into my glass, and wasn't even poured the whole can! Then when I proceeded to pour the rest of the can was asked "can I help you sir?" Like what do they really expect to do with the remnants of that can of soda? My waiter was there at the bar when I asked and said "I can take it out" in an annoyed tone like he was offended that after all that time of waiting i should have waited longer. As if him taking the poured can of DP from my hand at the bar to my table will make it up.
THEN there's the food, it looked great....and again, that's where the positives end. Had a green chili bacon burger and was the blandest tasting plate of food I've ever had, even Applebee's smokes this place. My friend had the rib eye steak sandwich and was brought out what looked like a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and was just as bland as mine. And then we had to wait forever again to get the check that we had to go inside to get our tab. I could understand if this place was slammed but it was right before the super bowl so it was far from even moderately packed.
All said, will not be trying this...
Read moreThis used to be our favorite restaurant for some time, even though the wait is usually long during the weekend and a bit overpriced. However, on June 15th 2018, my family was here for breakfast, towards the end of their meal the waiter went to the table to refill my daughters tea. As he left, my daughter noticed something odd in her drink, and there it was.. a ROACH!! it had come out of the pitcher and into her glass. The waiter was immediately notified of the incident, all he did was exchange glass and serve from same pitcher all over again, then he said "it probably got into our ICE machine". Everyone sat still and waited for almost 15 mins for a manager to address the issue. That didn't happen, it wasn't until one of us got up to go look for him that he had the courtesy of addressing the issue. Whats worse, as customers all we expected was immediate action from the staff and a honest apology, but that didn't happen. After realizing how disgusted everyone at the table was (since this happened when meals had been consumed already) manager decided to comp the only two drinks being charged since everyone else was drinking water, and offered a slice of cheesecake. When the review was posted on their facebook page they had the nerve to call us "LIARS" and accused us of only wanting to get a free meal. We have pictures of the roach inside the glass. Whats funny is that the same day, they also announced that the restaurant would be closed for two days "AFTER" FATHERS DAY for MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING!!!! We used to be regulars at this place,...
