An absolutely delightful enclave in the middle of a busy City. Adobe construction that looks as if it may have been a motor hotel ages ago. Many gift shops with unusual inventory plus antique stores abound. The best part was a restaurant called the Magic Bistro. Not only is it quaint and beautifully decorated, but the menus is varied with all of the items being tempting. I got the eggplant sandwich on ciabatta bread with a side of seasoned fries. Excellent - I ate everything! My daughter got the Bistro burger which she said was cooked exactly right. Very reasonably priced, and David, our server was delightful and efficient....
Read moreBeen here mainly for the outdoor market that happens during the weekends. I believe it's Sunday to be exact. It's a good way to spend your Sunday outdoors and support local businesses. I like how they added the cooling area. It's just an area that's shaded off and has a fan that sprays water ever so slightly making it refreshing and not at all uncomfortable. I prefer the market that's next to the Circle K on country club to be honest because of all the food vendors. KFC is a nice place to eat, if you love greasy, soggy, chicken, that's been sitting under a heat lamp for 45 minutes. There's also a Wells Fargo ATM that charges $4 if you're from another bank. For the retirees out there, there's a barber shop that's only open from 9am - 4pm Monday through Friday, or something like that. I've never seen it open, so I'm just assuming.
