Cervecería 19 — Restaurant in El Paso

At first walking in and ordering i said wow nice place. I don't understand how it's rated under 3 stars!? Prices for food and alcohol are great! The tacos are amazing!! Server was attentive, but thats where it all ends.. So at first they charge you for a water bottle! I believe it was $1.99 or $2.99 I hate when places do that! It's a rip off and they do it since it's a good way to make money. A pack of 24 is maybe $3.99 so they make around $60 per 24 pack they sell. Water by law is free in Texas! I had to ask 3 times to get tap water and they finally brought it... I am not going to pay for a water bottle in a restaurant when all restaurants have tap water... Next was the bill. When it is above 6 people they will refuse to separate the bill. We were a party of about 10-12 people. So one of the owners came by to pick up our plates and asked him if the bill can be seperated. He said yes when the waiter said no. She just left the bill and took off like saying you guys deal with it. So It took a while for the owner to seperate the bill since he had to write down everyone's orders again. Then after the waitress came back and told us, the reason why we don't separate the bills for big tables is because some people walkout without paying and whatever doesn't get paid management has to pay for that. Like what the heck? She made us seem like if we were going to do that?! Wow. Horrible place that loves to accuse new customers of walking out without paying... And on top of that they charged every single tap which was 6 different tabs for our table a 15% tip! We should decide how much tip to leave. Not them!? Not too sure I'll be going back to the place. First time coming to Cerveceria 19! Didn’t realize it was a bar until we walked in. We were seated immediately, great music and atmosphere going on. When the soccer game started, music turned off and they actually had the soccer game sound on! That was freakin amazing!

Our service was fantastic and our server was very tentative to our group! Orders came out quickly even though it was rather busy due to the Mexico game playing. They had a wide range of tacos and boy, they were freakin the bomb!!! Of course we had plenty of drinks and after all was said and done, I was very shocked at how inexpensive everything came out to be! We had so much food, beers, and alcohol drink I swore our bill was going to be around $300, however we ended up paying $170!! That was a bargain!!

I will say though, I tried an Elote en Vaso, I was not pleased. There was really no spice to it, it tasted bland. The amount of cheese they added on you get very little corn. It was also difficult to mix in as I was having so much cheese fall over the edge onto my clothing. Eating the elote, tasted as if I was eating blobs of cottage cheese. So if you plan on eating an elote en vaso, I’d stay away, you’d waste your money on it. They did have a elote on the cob, however I did try it not did my group.

Aside from the elote, our group had a pleasant time catching up and enjoying the atmosphere. You definitely would enjoy your time here if you’re looking for a place to hang out and catch up.

The famous Juarez bar and restaurant is definitely making its presence known in El Paso. The location has a very welcoming and friendly environment. Has plenty of good views, plenty of tables, plenty of servers, plenty of good music. The menu has so many selections, you could have a little bit of everything. The prices on the food and drinks are at GREAT PRICING. The margaritas were drinkable, tasted good but weren't very strong. The food was also edible but was missing a little something. Ive had better tasting tacos somewhere else. The restrooms were clean and fresh. Also when I arrived for being a friday at 3pm, theres was a crowd crowd.
