It was a pretty awful experience. One that no customer should have to go through. Approached a checkout where two young checkers were at. The young man and another girl were to busy interacting with each other. I was looking straight at them. The young man explained he was waiting for a customer to return back from her car with her wallet. This is perfectly understandable and I commend the cashier for being nice enough to wait on her. However, I asked is there was another check out open?
The young woman made a face and replied yes #1 is open I will be there. She continued visiting with the young man talking. I asked again because was unsure what she had replied, and she pointed towards checker #1 somewhat bothered, and stated go to checker #1 will be there. Mind you in a tone when you are addressing your child that's being a nuisance.
I was taken back by her mannerisms.
This was totally rude and unacceptable behavior exhibited towards your customers.
To add insult to injury, I proceeded to place my items on top of checkout counter. She not once looked at or, much less greeted me. Just somewhat pushing the grocery items into the bag once charged.
At this point I had enough of her attitude towards me evidently stemming from asking whether there was another check out open to assist other customers.
I will no longer shop at Lowe's. Not motivated to go spend my money to be treated as shabbily as I was. No regard for basic human interaction. Was not looking to have any special treatment given.
Customer service with a smile, is a given, or is this too much to ask for.
Not looking at wanting to get Clerk #33, Lane 1, transaction 44 @ 12:20 pm Lowe's #73 on 6/19/18 dismissed. Seriously I call upon Management to look at this incident as an opportunity to teach and impress upon your staff the importance of demonstrating a willingness to work. If they are not happy with their work, look elsewhere. It's not your customers fault.
Moreover, definitely learn to display basic common courtesy to ALL customers they come in contact with.

Read moreI live a few blocks from this store, so it's convenient. I am a student, in which I have evening class schedule. When I come here to shop, it's usually for a couple of items (after class).
On 3 occasions, I've come to Food King (after class at 9:45PM). Each time I have arrived between 9:50pm and 9:55PM. This is clearly before 10:00PM closing time. But when I arrive at the store, there is a woman who opens the doors to allow customers to leave.
When I ask to go in, the lady is nasty and says "we're closed", I say I am only getting a couple of items. Before I can finish my comments, she interrupts abruptly saying "no, we're closed".
Then I pull out my phone to show her and I ask her, "What time is it?" Again, in a nasty voice she says, "It's 10 O'clock!" In which it is NOT, it is 9:55PM. It is NOT 10 o'clock.
I suppose the night manager and staff conclude that at 9:50PM one of the managers will guard the doors to prevent customers from entering. They seem to think that the customer shopping for those last 5 minutes is going to hold them up and prevent them from leaving.
I read some of the other complaints. And from events described by another reviewer, it sounds as though they encountered the same cashier as me. If so, it wouldn't surprise me?
If the employees take it upon themselves to guard the entry doors at 9:50PM, then they need to update their Google store, their website, and the store marquee to state 7:00AM-9:50PM.
In simple terms, just "be considerate". Is it so hard to be kind or thoughtful towards a customer? Especially when you're closing prior to 10:00PM! Technically, customers still have 5 minutes to shop and get to the cashiers...

I wouldn’t normally do this because it’s just a grocery store, but this is the third time this has happened to me. Each time it’s the buche and ground beef, 1st time I bought buche I didn’t notice till I got home that it had expired 4 days before I even made my purchase. Seriously who leaves expired meats out that long?!?! The next time I purchased ground beef that was suppose to have a shelf like of 5 days, and the day after I took it home it was obviously bad. And of course the third time was just yesterday, the packaging says to sell by May 2nd, today it April 29th, I’m getting ready to start dinner and the buche smells like rotting flesh, so bad that it stunk up my whole house. I will never again trust purchasing any type of meats from this store. And that’s not even to mention that the produce selection here is the poorest quality in any location...
