Sand Dust Coffee — Restaurant in El Paso

Visited this coffee shop yesterday first time. I give it 2 stars, not 1, only because their cappuccino was really good, but all other things like service and crepes were bad. There are more details: Plate with crepes was chipped. Crepes were cold. My crepes were with banana, strawberry and Nutella. Banana and strawberry were cut so thin, that you could hardly find them inside the crepes. In reality they were thinner than crepes. It looks like cook uses 1 banana to make 10 crepes. Their service was very slowly, and I was the only one who ordered something during that hour while I was there, and the café was almost empty, so obviously staff wasn't busy with other customers. Barista was slowly like sloth, looks like they called him from home, because he came and started to make my coffee after 15 minutes as I ordered it and it took for him so long to make one cup of coffee, as a result I received my coffee after long waiting and...

Warm and welcoming place and staff. I thoroughly enjoyed their art wall. The photographs were especially beautiful but all the arts were imaginative. I chose against an espresso drink because I could tell while waiting in line they were second wave coffee makers and I prefer third. For instance they don't use precision grinders, weigh the beans, etc., and the shots stayed on the drip tray for minutes before going into the espresso drinks. I ordered a turkey crepe and it was delicious and nicely presented, but, a bit cold and took exceedingly long to come out. Not a bad experience...

We truly wanted to enjoy this place and gave it several chances because we liked the flavor of their coffee and the chocolate they use. We were also drawn in by their claim of using organic coffee, which we saw on their website. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning after getting food poisoning from the coffees we ordered. The drinks had a spoiled smell, but we trusted they were safe. Sadly, we ended up with a stomach infection that lasted a week. On top of that, the staff seemed inattentive and careless, and the overall atmosphere felt...
