This place has really gone downhill over the past few years. It used to be a nice place to go in the morning to get a bagel or breakfast sandwich or a cup of coffee. That was before the pandemic struck El Paso rather nastily. Not anymore. I just recently went to one on the block of 6100 North Mesa and the place was in a total shambles. The public restroom was filthy with all kinds of paper towels piling up all over the bathroom floor. The bathroom sink where you go to wash your hands was filthy dirty and look like it hadn't been cleaned in days. The TVs that used to be there in the morning no longer work and are not even plugged in. The coffee used to be absolutely delicious now the coffee (with the exception of the Hazelnut coffee) was the worst tasting coffee I have ever tasted in my entire life. I actually spat it out back into the coffee cup and dumped the rest of the coffee into the garbage bin. The only way I can describe it is that the Morning blend and the dark roast coffees tasted like an old liquified rubber tire. I saw flies buzzing around inside the main display case where the bagels are kept and that are served to the public. It was nothing short of disgusting. Before the pandemic this used to be a really nice play to go in the morning to get a nice cup of coffee watch some morning news or sports TV and maybe get a nice breakfast sandwich. But no more. The place is a badly managed disaster and I don't think I will go there again any time soon. Based on the foot traffic that I saw there the other day compared to what it was like 3 years ago is the difference between night and day as the foot traffic was virtually non-existent and the parking lot that used to be totally full in the mornings 3 years ago and now sits more than half empty. My advice is to avoid the place as I am sure so many people...
Read moreWent this morning at 0530 and doors were still locked. I called at 0539 and asked what time they open the store. The lady that answered the phone stated the store open at 530, I notified her that I was at the door and it was locked. A girl in pajamas unlocked the door and returns to her table where she was doing homework. I proceed to place my order of a dozen assorted bagels. Going by the labels on the baskets, I asked for two of each basket for a total of 10 bagels. The young man proceed to argue with me, telling me I had 12 bagels already. Well, the labels were not correct, one basket had two different kind of bagels which I couldn't tell by glancing at them. I told him that's fine, I will take them and that started another episode. He started to argue that they come in packs of 18 (on the app you can order by the dozen,) I informed him that I only wanted a dozen. I am pressed for time and I asked him several times just to charge me for what I asked for. I pleaded with the other employees to help, she just looked at me and said nothing. I finally instructed him to charge per bagel and after repeating myself a few times he complied. then I asked him of the two smears that comes with the dozen. The employee started to say that none came with it, I cut him off and told him to charge me for two. He gives me one in original container and the other in a different container that does not look equal in quantity as the original container. I begin to ask him and he begins saying something in unprofessional tone. I walked out. This is the second time that I drop by and the store doors are not unlocked at 0530. Maybe they should change the hours. Maybe there has also been a change in dealing with customers, but if I want a dozen and willing to pay per item....charge me. Lastly, no...
Read moreMy recent ventures to Einstein Bros. Bagels, have left me torn between the promise of delightful bagel experiences and the frustrating reality of constant shortages, even during the early hours. Despite the charming scent of fresh bagels and welcoming staff, the recurring issue of an empty bagel display by 9-10 am has become a disappointing trend that significantly impacts the overall customer satisfaction.
On more than one occasion, I have entered the store with a specific bagel flavor in mind, only to be met with empty displays or a severely depleted stock. It's perplexing to witness this shortage, especially when there's ample time left before the store's scheduled closing hours.
The staff, while courteous, seemed unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the consistent bagel deficit. They would offer apologies but never really explain why the bagels aren't in stock. However, as a customer, it's disheartening to encounter the same problem repeatedly without seeing any tangible improvements.
While the taste and quality of the bagels at Einstein Bros. are undoubtedly commendable, the constant out-of-stock issue significantly hampers the overall customer experience. It is my sincere hope that the management addresses this ongoing problem, ensuring that patrons can enjoy the full array of delicious bagels promised by the establishment.
In summary, The establishment's potential as a top-tier bagel destination is hindered by the persistent lack of inventory, especially during the crucial morning hours. Until the management addresses and resolves this ongoing problem, Einstein Bros. Bagels may struggle to secure a wholehearted recommendation from customers seeking a reliable and satisfying...
