My family and our first time here was tonight (8/30/2024) our server Kate was amazing! We absolutely LOVED her!! Her attitude was very positive and outgoing, she was very tentative to our table and did everything she could to make us feel welcomed! P.S. famous Dave’s is lucky to have an employee such as her, however the atmosphere was extremely horrible!!!! I cannot stress this enough this is supposed to be a FAMILY FRIENDLY restaurant with quiet back ground music and amazing food and it was everything but that. They had giant speakers out playing so loud I could hardly hear my husband speak to me when he was sitting right next to me. My son is Autistic and the music was irritating him because of how loud it he was cupping his ear a lot, my husband is Active Duty military and has tinnitus and the music being sooo loud caused him issues with that medical condition. The atmosphere felt like more of a club vibe to it. The manager said Friday are “karaoke night” but this is not a karaoke bar nor is it a club setting. There was no songs posted about it being karaoke night else we would not have entered and I do not like hearing awful music because they let people who have been drinking at the bar walk around while singing (horribly) it was definitely not something pleasing to hear. Our server is quiet literally the only reason why we didn’t walk out tonight especially after talking to the manager. The manager acted like she didn’t care, she kept saying it is kid friendly but one of the music was kid music it was all a bunch of club sound music or something you would play at a dance. If the manager wants a club setting she should manage a club not a family restaurant. This was our first experience and we will NOT be coming back nor will we recommend famous faces to anyone. So even though our experience with management and the atmosphere being horrible we still loved our server! Kate you are Amazing!! Keep up the...
Read moreWe ordered take out and almost like always, we have to check the order before leaving. I ordered a regular burger and specified only cheese and lettuce, no other toppings. I love the burgers there because of how perfectly melted the cheese is.
The one in our party who ordered the Burger is allergic to tomatoes and cannot eat them, so I made sure to specifically say four times; only cheese and lettuce. I got the order and on the burger were pickles and tomato. I tried to explain that one of ours is allergic. It seems like the person only took it back to remove the garnishes and return the same burger, given the speed in which I received the burger back.
Tomato juices may have already seeped into the food by then and we don't want to risk causing an allergic reaction so we threw away the burger for safety's sake. I also noticed the receipt does not indicate anything about just lettuce being on it.
Also, we ordered two cornbread and one Mac and cheese. We only got one cornbread and 3 mashed potatoes.
My question goes out to not only Famous Dave's but many other rest out there, what happened to the person quality checking the food as it comes out of the kitchen? Why are we not paying attention to the way the order is prepared compared to the receipt? Also, why are servers not making special note of certain things such as just lettuce?
Seriously, restaurants need to improve on these issues because look at what happened at Disneyland? An inattentive waiter caused the death of a guest who had certain allergies because the order was not taken down right and not quality checked.
Disneyland may have the legal team to represent them in Court but after the Pandemic, a lot of restaurants are hurting more now a days. If they don't want a wrongful death suit on their hands, these places need to be more attentive to their guest's needs, especially if there are...
Read moreThe service was absolutely atrocious! As a local guide I do my best to give honest reviews, and even second chances. However, this is the second time that this location disregards the necessity for customer service. We went for dinner roughly 2.5 hours prior to closing and the restaurant was not busy at all, but the hostess saw us walk in, and proceeded to continue conversing with her co-worker who was a waiter. After waiting about 3-4 minutes for them to finish conversing, the hostess looked at us again, asked for the number in the party, and proceeded to tell us to sit wherever we like. After being seated (without menus) for about 10 minutes, we interrupted a nearby waiter to ask for menus; the waiter responded, “let me get the hostess.” I am just confused why every employee was in such a terrible mood, but whatever it is, that is not a way to conduct business across the restaurant. We decided to leave because I was not going to continue dealing with such disrespectful service. I hope management addresses this issue and monitors their staff more closely, because even if the food is delicious, that does not excuse unacceptable service. I wish you all the absolute best, and hope you reconsider how you run “slow” evenings, because I am sure I won’t be the only one being mindful of...
