My husband was in charge of getting furniture for our new apartment, so he chose Venetian Furniture here in El Paso. A day after we moved in, a delivery man showed up on time with our bedroom suit and helped install it. He apologized for the inconvenience, but our recliner was on back order and would take another week to come in. The bedroom suit and the recliner are the only two things we purchased. We were bummed out but had no choice to wait. We called at the end of the week, no recliner. The payment was taken out of our account, which included the recliner. I called back and asked if they could just remove the recliner off our account (I was just going to get one somewhere else) and they said unfortunately they can't. Now I'm mad. Another week goes by- no recliner. At the end of the third week, I call again. They said "We have confirmation that the recliner will be here tomorrow. We will deliver it and give you a call ahead of time." Finally!! The next day arrives and stil, no call. I impatiently call back and ask what the status was. They said the recliner is on the truck, and the truck is on the way, and that they would call if anything went wrong. We sat at home all day awaiting the arrival of this recliner. During this time, I looked up Venetian Furniture on google and saw all the horrible reviews. Customers were in the same boat as me, only worse. I was about to get scammed, and the recliner was in fact not ever going to come. At this point I'm furious. I'm not the type to get played and sit back and be okay with it. With all this new information about them in mind, I drive up there ONE HOUR before closing time (and they still haven't called me). I walk in and ask for the manager. I sat down and explained everything to this nice litte Latina lady. I was not ugly at all (I save that until I need it.) She listened to everything and immediately asked us if we would like to take the recliner on display. She kept apologizing for everything. I checked it for damages and agreed to take it. They then took it apart for me and loaded it into my SUV. She also gave us a free wooden end-table to go with it for all the trouble. We were in and out in about 10 minutes. Where was the truck containing my recliner? I don't know. It was never mentioned. It probably never even existed. For all those in a similar situation, do not let them take advantage of you and your money. If they have your piece of furniture on "back order" you need to go up there and stand your ground. Be as nice as you can. As far as legal action goes, there's nothing you can do except file a small claims suit which would cost you a lot of money. I hope my story can help...
Read moreI placed a dining room set and an expensive sectional couch on layaway. After paying them off I arranged for delivery, which I had to pay $60 for. I was told my furniture was order and would be delivered within the week. I then had to wait an additional week because it didn't come in on time. As compensation for the extra wait the manager, Eli, told me he would discount the delivery fee $40 and the when delivered it would be assembled. The furniture showed up and the driver rushed to drop off the unassembled furniture and charge me $60. I had to cal the manager to have him explain tot he driver what I had been told. The driver said ok, but I have to get to class and cant assemble it. I told the manager this was not acceptable and he stated HE would personally be at my house in the morning to assemble the furniture. Come morning, the same driver showed up to assemble my couch. upon inspection, it was not the couch I paid for! I called the manager and sent him a picture of the couch I had paid for. He had a bunch of excuses that the salesman made a mistake, he had fired the salesman and the such, I didn't believe him. After heated negotiations of how to fix this error, I, the customer, agreed to "borrow" the couch sent to me and that Eli the manager would order my couch, and deliver it in a week. Come Friday, today, the agreed upon day of delivery i called Eli to ask him to please delivery at 5:30 or after to ensure I was home to receive, to which he replied of course no problem. At 6PM I called to check on delivery, Eli stated, "well traffic is bad sir would it be possible to not deliver tonight. I replied that it is NOT acceptable, we agreed upon this time, I have already been patient with his errors and I expect delivery, and I have already made plans this weekend and cannot wait. He said "ok I will get it there tonight. I just received a voicemail from Eli asking me to call him, I called the place of business twice and his cell phone twice with no answer and no option to leave a voicemail. I left a text on his cell that I hope I am not once again being ignored, that as a customer I have paid for a service and completed any expectation from a consumers standpoint, and haven't received an response, not has my furniture showed up and it is now 7:30 at night. Terrible customer service, and as a customer service manager I feel educated in this area. I will be contacting Better Business Bureau first thing in the morning, and Monday I will be visiting small claims court. Stay away from this business that works on lies, fraud and ignorance of...

Do not purchase anything from them! The store employees and owners do not share the following information with the customersAfter the customer has been approved with the finance company “CREST” and have signed the contract, the store waits until they receive the check from the finance company before they order the furniture but your contract starts the day the The New Venetian Outlet submits to the finance company that you (the customer) have received goods (furniture) which is not true. Be aware the day you sign the contract is the day when your time starts running with the finance company regardless of what the store employees or owners tell you. Without furniture and with a bill due, the finance company DOES NOT CARE, that the furniture has not been delivered, but THE CUSTOMER already owes the money. The finance company (90 DAYS SAME AS CASH, WITH A CHECKING ACCT) does not care about anything except that you owe the money to them, even if you don't receive your furniture. Eli, one of the owners along with Lisa, never returns calls and promise every time I call that my furniture will arrive. All I ask is for them to cancel the finance company contract if they are not honoring the contract by providing the furniture. The New Venetian Outlet send to Crest financial paperwork stating that I received my furniture on October 26th which is not true, today is November 7th and I still yet to receive the furniture. Good luck to anyone trying to do business with The New Venetian Outlet, you will more...
