Normally I love this restaurant, but today I had an experience that made my blood boil.
For some context, my wife used to work here, and knows many of the servers who currently still do. My wife and I decided we wanted to order to go and pick it up for a late lunch today (Saturday 22MAY at about 3-3:30 PM.)
We called this location and no one answered. We immediately called back, still nothing. So we tried a third, fourth, fifth and even a sixth time with no luck (this, over the course of about 30 minutes). On the last call the phone didn’t even ring.
My wife explained to me that sometimes the servers get “too overwhelmed” with the amount of people they have to tend to in the shop and so they don’t answer the phone for to go orders. Or... they go as far as to even un hang the phone from the cradle, or unplug the phone from the wall... HOW ABSURD IS THAT?!
First of all... This isn’t even a real sized restaurant. It’s called a “shack”, and there are only about 10 tables in the entire restaurant. How in the world do you get “overwhelmed”? I’ll explain how... poor work ethic! The girls that work here are unable to balance orders from three tables at a time, they take their time when bringing out food and drinks, and they are often lackadaisically scrolling their phones or conversing with themselves.
When I worked in a restaurant to put myself through college, sometimes I’d have to serve 10 tables at a time. If the owner of the restaurant that I worked at found out I was unplugging the phone and taking away business from his restaurant, I would have immediately been fired. To the owners, I recommend you GET BETTER WORKERS. Don’t be afraid to cut the dead weight, start fresh, and hire someone who actually wants to be there and help your business grow!
We will return... Not for the service, but for the food! Having said that, and at a certain point... even the best food in the world won’t make up for lazy,...

I think that was very unprofessional. that was my first time going into that restaurant and I will not be going into that restaurant again because they do not notice or go around asking if everything is OK or if you need anything this waitress that attended us did not even come around to ask us anything That is very unprofessional. Like I mentioned they asked for my number because I asked to speak to the manager and all they said, she just just barely left and I am still here waiting for the managers call and to this point I have not gotten a phone call from the manager Very unprofessional restaurant and...

Usually, I love this place—fish tacos that hit like a beachside breeze and fast, friendly service. But this visit? Oof. If I could give zero stars and a confused blink, I would.
We came in early—restaurant was practically empty. Jessica was our server. Two other tables came in after us and somehow managed to get their full meals, eat them, and start digesting before my boyfriend even got his plate. Me? I got two tacos instead of three, because… suspense, I guess?
Now here’s where things got weird: I ordered two green sauces. Jessica walked over with one green, one red, clearly saw the mistake as she was walking toward us, and instead of asking the kitchen for another green like a normal solution-minded human... she casually moonwalked back to the prep station, poured half of the green sauce from my plate into another container like she was splitting atoms, and brought it back like everything was fine. Ma’am. I witnessed the alchemy.
Also never got the extra cabbage and limes I asked for. They must’ve gone out for drinks.
Then we asked if they could turn on the NBA Finals on one of the FOUR televisions. Jessica went to check and the girl with glasses behind the counter rolled her eyes so hard I swear I heard them echo. Jessica came back sheepishly: “My manager said no.” A whole lotta “meh” for a simple click of a remote.
So yeah. Cold tacos, half a sauce, zero limes, and a whole attitude.
1 out of 5 tacos. And that one taco is...
