Logan's Roadhouse — Restaurant in El Paso

Another early dinner search as we heading East on 10. Our eyes first spotted Outback on the north side of 10, and thought a steak sounded good.

Ahhh... Interstate 10, and the Gateway shuffle... Man there has got to be a better way.... right ?

Anyway, after several attempts to make our destination, luck prevailed and the exit road delivered us right next to Logan's Roadhouse.

It was the exterior of this restaurant that sealed the deal for us. Several trees dot the entry way to the restaurant. It looked so cool and inviting.

The atmosphere was relaxed. Seating was abundant.

We were quickly greeted and seated. The server Alan was immediately on hand to welcome and take drink orders.

Alan was knowledgeable, and friendly. He freely made menu recommendations that proved very popular.

Salad. Good but puny

Chips and Queso. Good portion Fried. Mushrooms Good portion Chilli. Very puny portion Fillet. Very nicely prepared 16oz Ribeye. Best price to date. Very well prepared !

Service was excellent. Alan returned frequently, but was not obtrusive. Made every effort to assure our satisfaction with the meal.

A very enjoyable restaurant at affordable pricing.

Our only complaint was the ambient noise level in the restaurant. It is a vicious cycle. Restaurant turns the ambient music up. Customers need to shout across the tables to be heard by dinner companions. Restaurant turns the music up louder... Customers either shout louder... or start texting each other... Perhaps one day this new restaurant industry will learn that dinning and conversation is a good thing.

My family and I haven't been to Logan's in a while now I remember why. The restaurant was dead. A couple of tables filled up and lots of servers hanging around. You would think with so many employees working customer service would be good. It took our waitress a while to come around and great us. Even longer to bring our drinks out. I don't know how far she had to go to get an apple juice, water and tea. We waited 40 minutes to get half our food order out. The waitress brought out my son and husbands meals and I had to ask her were mine was at. She looks at me and tells me, oh yours was over cooked it's going to take another 5 minutes. My families food was cold as if they just had it sitting out. 10 minutes later our waitress comes by and tells me your food will be out soon. At this point my husband is livid, not only are we having to wait so long for our meal but we also have to hear the waiters foul language. Keep in mind my son is only 4 and he's listening to the waiters using the F word like nothing. By the time my meal came out we were so annoyed and way over being hungry. Might I add the manager was no were to be seen. Apparently she was somewhere in the back according to a waiter. I worked in the food industry for 10 years as a server and it irritates the hell out of me to get such bad service when a restaurant is so dead. There's just no reason for it. I don't know Logan's standard ticket times are but to send out a medium rare steak in 40 minutes is ridiculous. From the reviews below it seems this place is known for there horrible service and nothing gets done. Don't bother responding if all I'm going to get is sorry your experience was bad we are going to look into this...

Horrible service! It took 15 min to get noticed and seated. It was not busy at all. Once we got seated it took 20 min for a server to even acknowledge us. She took our drink order. Brought everyone's drinks 20 min later, except the one for our 5year old. The server said she didn't bring it because my 5 year old didn't tell her what she wanted! Are you for real!? Wow! What a liar. I told her what my daughter wanted and she acknowledged it. If you forgot it just say so sorry and fix it. Not blame my Daughter. We ordered our kids entrees first since they take longer to eat. Mind you we have 4. Then about 10-15 min after, my husband, mother-in-law and I ordered ours. This whole time we hadn't even been served rolls to start. Waiting 20 min. She comes with the rolls, my husbands salad and the adult entrees! At this point we are furious. My kids are still waiting for their food. So now all the adults are waiting to eat because it's not right for us to be eating without our kids. So now our food gets cold. Finally, the kids get their food and the adults food is now cold. I ordered the sausage and chicken Cajun pasta. The sausage was burnt and super salty. The toast it came with was also super salty. My husbands dish was the chicken Parm pasta and the sauce didn't taste right. His toast was also very salty. One of my daughters ordered the steak tips. Supposed to be cooked medium. Instead it was cooked well done. HORRIBLE experience. HORRIBLE management. My husband talked to the manager. Manager never came to the table or fixed ANYTHING. We don't go out often. So for us to be treated this way was appalling! We will not be returning to...
