If you want the best deals here, you need to get the app. Drinks are always 50% off on the app, so you can take advantage of that deal any time of day. They also have coupons and specials on there. My friend and I usually just go for the drinks and get Route 44 Ocean Waters (44oz Sprite with blue coconut flavoring). Their burgers are heavy on the mustard, so I usually steer clear of them, but it doesn't mean they aren't good if you like a traditional Texas style burger. I love their desserts and get them often, especially the Reece's blasts. They are essentially a thick shake with bits of Reece's peanut butter cups in them. They come in other flavors as well and all of them are good. My daughter loves the banana split and the strawberry sundae. Everyone I know including me seems to really like the sugar free cherry limeade. We will often order these as a weeknight treat for the kids. I would recommend this place if you have a nice car with air conditioning since you will be at a drive-in space unless you use the drive-thru. There are limited outdoor seats, but I can't recommend doing that because of how hot it usually is here and the insect population will also be likely to make a meal out of you while you try to eat your own food. Got home late the other night (I also work at a restaurant) decided to go to sonic. There one maybe two other cars in the stalls, so I go and press the button, wife and I sat there watching cars come in and out of the drive through while we got ignored for like 20-25 minutes. I yell over when the window opened, poor girl looked like she couldn't handle the situation so she said to just go through the drive through. It really wasn't that busy but we get to the window and you got one guy nose down in his phone, the one making the food just couldn't be bothered just absolutely not a care in the world, then the two at the window are the only ones putting in any effort at all. Took forever then my shake was melted by the time I got it. The food itself was good, it's consistent to what sonic makes but the place is poorly managed, probably treats their employees like trash while paying them minimum or just above minimum. Sadly, the quality of the food and service is now hit or miss. I've been patronizing this Sonic since the day it opened more than 26 years ago.

The latest annoyance is they are removing the order boards on the stalls! They expect you to order with the app. I'm not going to install an app just to place an order at a Sonic drive-thru.

Each time I go and receive poor quality food, I'm less likely to go back, so the frequency of my visits is steadily decreasing. I suspect there are multiple problems ... managment not paying attention to details, staffing shortages, poor ingredient quality from the distribution center, lack of training, and more. I also believe that app orders are contributing to the problem. Ditch the app, just go and order!
