Flawless execution - both in the kitchen and in the dining area. We were there for breakfast on a Fri morning🌄. Wifey had the Ultimate Breakfast(2 scram eggs, 2 bacon/sausage, ham, hash browns & toast) and I had the "Santa Fe Chicken Skillet"(Potatos, onions, peppers, 2 scrambled eggs, grilled chicken, yummy green sauce, topped w/cheese🧀 AND pancakes!). I added 1 egg to my skillet and a side of bacon. Everything was cooked PERFECTLY - eggs/fluffy - bacon/crisp from end to end(hate floppy bacon) - ham steak/over 1/2in thick, trimmed and smoky! - chicken/not faux-grilled but FRESH-grilled - heck, even wifey's TOAST was still hot(how often does that happen?) Now the service - I won't call them "servers", a "server" is a box filled with computer memory chips, our someone who picks a plate up off a shelf and carries it to a table - these people were "Waitresses/Waiters", defined as someone who helps their customers have the most pleasurable dining experience possible. Eating is already one of the great pleasures in life and a good waitress/waiter has the power to greatly enhance the meal or destroy it! The ENTIRE staff in this VI was working like a well-oiled machine. When our food came, we needed more butter(I like lots for my flapjacks) and picantè for my skillet, it couldn't have been more than 30 seconds before they appeared! At other tables, we watched one of their experienced people training a new person and it became obvious why the crew is so good - they take the time to make sure that EACH of their team members know exactly what to do in every situation, and more importantly - why! I overheard the phrase "every customer is different" and that if she pays just a little attention, a good waitress can find out not only what they're customers want to eat but how they want to be handled. Our Waitress did just that, and one 25% tip later, both parties were enjoying the true fruits of "evil...
Read moreI'm actually super disappointed. My review is a composite of the wonderful job Erik and the manager Mando did, and a very truthful and embarrassing job a certain waitress did. This waitress almost ASSAULTED my TODDLER!
Walked in with my family, was seated, a heavy set waitress took our drink order almost immediately and then completely ignored my table after that. At the time of writing this, I am 5 months pregnant and had a very young toddler with me. I needed a high chair badly and not once did she ever come back to the table.
After about 15 minutes, I walked to the front and asked to speak to the manager, Mando. Mando personally brought me a high chair and even offered to switch the waitress with the waiter I continued service with for the rest of my time there, Erik. I also had to advocate for the elderly table next to me as they were waiting for the same waitress!
The same heavy set waitress, continued to make faces at me, my husband, and my toddler the whole time we were in the restaurant. What really upset me the most was that the waitress almost hit my child in the head with a tray! She was lucky enough to have hit the spoon that was near my child's head (or else there would have been a REAL issue) Not once did she even look back or acknowledge that she almost assaulted my child.
I have never left a restaurant so angry not only for how my family was treated, but the fact that the only other table that received the same treatment were also dark-skinned! I don't know who this waitress is, but she needs to be fired before the manager is held accountable for her racist treatment and almost assaulting children.
I will give credit where credit is due. If it hadn't been for Erik's attentiveness and his communication, I would not have even wasted my time here. Thank you to both Erik and Mando for handling the situation professionally given how rocky everything...
Read moreMy family wanted to try something new in the Northeast, and was faced with disappointment. Took a wile for someone to greet us after we sat down. One person finally came to ask us if someone had helped us and grabbed our drink order. Then our waitress Iris finally came to take our order. Food came at a reasonable timeframe. Our food was deliver by a 3rd person, and with the food dropped off the bill. That was kinda strange because we wanted to have desert. As we had lunch we finished our drinks and our waitress was not around to refill. Finally she asked the question. Once we finished, we talked for a wile and wanted to try you alls pies. Unfortunately our waitress never came back. We sat in the table for over 20 minutes waiting to see if we can order or questioning how we could pay for our bill. Finally decided to get up and ask the girl in the front entrance if we could pay. She then told us it had to be with our waitress. Keep in mind, I have no clue where our waitress was. My wife now angry at this time asked her if she could go get her and said no, that our waitress was the one to charge us. My wife said, Ill go find her my self. Finally she came to charge. I rarely leave bad reviews, but seems like this place needs some help. Ether from management or someone that cares. Most people in this place are elderly and I’m sure they don’t leave reviews when they have a bad experience. In regards to the restaurant, it looks clean and the food was very basic. A business is successful depending on the people that work for them. Take pride on what you do. If you don’t like it find a job...
