If you’re craving authentic Vietnamese food, you’re at the right place.
When you walk in, you’re immediately met with that Vietnamese feel. Funky chairs. Altar. Jars of unknown things. Random Asian wall art. Blaring TVs.
You know it’s gonna be amazing.
We were quickly welcomed in and seated. She took our drinks right away. Very fast and efficient.
They have a pretty large menu so it was hard to decide. I asked if I could have both pork and shrimp in my spring roll and she went to check. They did and it was so delicious! Their peanut sauce was savory and perfect amount of sweet.
It was my brother in laws first time eating Vietnamese food so I recommended shaken beef (Bo Luc Lac). He said it was good.
My husband said it was the best Pho Tai he’d ever had. He couldn’t stop drinking the broth.
My Bun Dac Biet (rice noodles with shrimp, chicken and beef) was comfort food at its finest. And the eggrolls? chef’s kiss My mother in law ordered her own plate of just the eggrolls with a bowl of rice. They did not skimp on the rice either.
If I had a second stomach, I would’ve tried their crispy egg noodles (mi xao gion) but my father in law did and he said it was good.
Next time we’re out this way, we’re definitely coming back. My sister says she dreams of the pho broth. I don’t doubt it.
I highly recommend coming here for the food and an iced Vietnamese coffee or two. I took one...
Read moreUPDATE: So I originally gave them 2 stars, now I demoted it down to one. Reason is that they kept my debit card, they gave me the check without my card. I forgot to ask and left. My wife called and found it there where we last used it. I looked in the till where it was saved. The problem. There was a slew of other people's cards in the till. So this happens a lot here..... give checks, forgets to give card back, and they have a till full of them... hmmm... I would give no stars if I could Ok, this restaurant was rated as the best one in El Paso according to Yelp. NOT. It is dark and they have a black ceiling making it gloomy inside. The pho soup is watery with no taste. I had to add siracha, and hoison to get any flavor. It HONESTLY tastes like instant pho soup base. The fresh spring rolls were below average. I would recommend buying instant pho from an Asian store for something that tastes better. Save your money and try Pho Air Huong on Dyer 100Xs better and authentic. The food is okay if you have a yearning, but over priced and under portioned. They sell a large bowl that is medium sized compared to others for the large price the only reason it got two stars is the server was really polite and they have a bathroom that functions for the you are trying to expel after being subjected to...
Read moreI want to start off by saying that I have never in my entire life enjoyed Vietnamese food. I enjoy just about any type of cuisine (from high end sushi to hold-in-the-wall mom and pop donut shops and taco trucks), but I could never tolerate the smells that came from the Pho or just about anything in a Vietnamese restaurant. Well, my mom and sister love pho and had bugged me all day about it. A google search later and we came here, and boy, I am do glad that I did. The spring rolls were delicious, and my order (#30) was pretty much exactly what I was craving that day. We came here again for the second time just a few days later after I begged my family to do dinner. The food was 10/10. I will say, the only negative from our last visit was our server, who looked like he was in high school and getting to know the menu (I could be wrong). His customer service is so-so and he made things a tad complicated, lacked communication skills and wasn't refilling drinks, which annoyed my family. He definitely was patient with us but the same could be said about us with him. The first time the service was perfect and there were no complaints!
Overall, this place is the best location if you're looking to eat some fantastic...
