I showed up with 10 people this evening. All had masks except for the two kids under 10 (which the Governors order says 10 and under are exempt from masks) and myself who has several medical conditions (1 being Lupus which I am in the mist of a flareup, the 2nd being fluid build up around my lungs/heart/kidneys) that pose a greater risk to me wearing a mask than me not wearing a mask. The Governors order also states that masks are exempt if one poses a greater physical or mental health risk.
Tonight I was sorely disappointed to find out that yall would not serve us if all of us including the baby did not wear a mask. I was disappointed to see yall not following the Governors orders. I even showed my Dr. exempt form. I even called ahead to explain we were coming in with a large party and that all but one of us could wear masks, they didn't tell us there would be a problem with that. We would have chosen elsewhere to go.
I have notified the Governor, who we happen to know personally thanks to our foundation who he works closely with in helping Veterans as well as the Mayor. I have also notified the groups for New Braunfels. Tomorrow, I plan on writing this in reviews on Yelp, Google, Facebook, and taking to Twitter. I also plan on writing a blog that will include yalls name that is seen by thousands of people all over.
Please read and make sure you understand all of the Governors order. While I understand you want to protect your employees and other guests, you also have to protect those who cannot wear a mask. That includes children, especially babies, and the medically exempt. Wearing a mask from the door to the table is not going to protect your employees or others. Especially since our waitress handled our cell phones and most definitely didn't keep 6ft back.
Please make sure you are know, understand and are following all that the order states. I'd hate to see another business go out...

Was asked to please hold as soon as girl answered, but wasn't actually on hold, I could hear everything going on in the restaurant as if the phone was just placed on the counter. After about 10 min( not exaggerating) still nobody came on the phone. So while still on the phone I drove to the location, which is about ten minutes from my house. As soon as I pull in the parking lot someone picks up the phone and hangs up without saying a word. Was on hold for 20 min. I walked in and asked for the manager immediately. Explained what happened and he was very apologetic and said he would get my order taken and give me a discount for the trouble. Girl took my order and said if I wanted to wait or come back because it would be about 15-20 min wait cuz they were busy, told her "well if someone would of not left me on hold for 20 min my order would have been done already, yes I'll wait". I ordered an 8 piece boneless honey hot and an 8 piece boneless honey bbq. 20 min later she brings out my order, and my check, asked her if both orders were in same container, because there was only one to go box in the bag, she says yes. Pay for my food and get ready to leave. As I'm walking to my car the order just doesn't feel right. So, I open the box and there are 4 of one flavor and 4 of the other flavor. Walk back in ask for the same manager, show him the order and he even seems annoyed and the laziness of the staff. He takes care of me to make the situation right thankfully. Annoyed myself after spending almost an hour waiting I get home to eat my wings and the original 4 and 4 were not even the flavors I asked for. Read moreStopped in with the family to have dinner before a movie. We had an hour and 10 minutes before the movie and told the waitress we were kind of in a hurry. After 25 minutes she had never even been back to the table. I finally tracked her down and asked her to check on the order. She said it would be 7 more minutes but in reality it took 43 minutes to get the first 3 meals of our order - my son sat and watched bc his chicken and waffles took an additional 10 minutes. My wings were raw. My daughter ordered bone in and got boneless. The chicken and waffles arrived as buffalo chicken (not what was ordered) I complained to the manager and she said she saw the wings go out and suspected they would come back but - served them anyway. I asked for take out containers so I could possibly make it to the movie but the take out and paying the check took an additional 15 minutes so needless to say we missed the movie time AND the food was so bad I didnt get to eat.
