I'm giving this place five because the concept just HAS to catch on!! It's so much fun and America NEEDS THIS (went to a similar place in Prague and when I saw this here in MD I flipped). The beer was a great selection, food was also fantastic. Some small notes for the owners bc I think you have a winner but what I personally would add:
1.) Chiller music in the spa, the bar music def clashed a bit with the vibe in the beer spa itself. I know you can use your own music, which is a nice touch, but also eats into time in the tubs setting that up.
2.) Slightly bigger towels (or two, if ppl with long hair decide to wash their hair).
3.) Proper sized like cross bath table thingies if people want to have snacks/beer more easily reachable.
4.) Slightly dimmer lighting in the spa area.
Also I learned about this place through IG and I really think a good IG campaign is perfect for this (I can't remember if it was an ad or not). HAMMER on that, I do that stuff for a living and you'll have it booked out for weeks if you want (though I appreciate it being easy to get a spot!) if you get the targeting right.
If they get the attention they deserve, I don't expect these guys will be here long bc they'll be driven to expand. Excellent spot for DC metro and Balt folks to drive up to for a fun afternoon. I really hope they succeed and am personally excited for how they'll expand. America is totally ripe for a fun, European co-ed bath house type...
Read moreI had such a great time there this past Sat. I’m not even a big beer drinker. But I really enjoyed the cider, the atmosphere, the service and the food.
At the end of the night we were given a tour of the spa. The owners were so nice. I felt like I was at a friends’ house for dinner. They were super knowledgeable about the different drinks they offer and the benefits of soaking in the hops and essential oils.
It wasn’t just the owners who were outstanding. After covid it seems like so many business are struggling to find and keep good staff.
Miraculously this seems to be a non issue at Bier Bath.
Our waiter Lucas was phenomenal. He was welcoming, attentive yet gave us space. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and happy to answer our questions.
Then I met Nicole, I believe was her name who runs the spa. It was the end of the night and she should have been exhausted. But she was energetic and smiling. Telling us how she loves to clean. Everyone here was so happy. They clearly loved their jobs and valued their customers. Which is something I rarely experience anymore.
I’ve already been inviting friends and family to come back with me again this thur for one of their special event nights. Who doesn’t want to Paint a Pint glass with friends? I highly...
Read moreWe found this place on Instagram for their Bierbaths and booked it as a pre-valentines day couples experience. The Bierbath was super luxurious and perfectly warm throughout the entire experience. You start with a hops bath, then a sauna and then a nice private shower to finish it off. It’s super clean and the staff is perfectly attentive without interrupting. We stayed for brunch after the bath. Not only is the brunch delicious, there was also a sourdough class happening while we were eating.
The beer selection is stellar, the food fits the theme perfectly and was super satisfying, and the ambiance of the place is really spot on. From the hanging lights, the intentional classic mimicking art pieces on the walls to the vintage bath tubs and handmade bench seating; this place slays the vibe.
Also the service is killer. Remy at the spa and Addison as our server were spectacular and made our experience extra special.
My partner and I were highly impressed by it everything. ...
