This place is just okay. It needs major upgrades in a lot of areas.

Stopped in for the first time today and tried their pozole. It was okay. They only have red, and it only comes with pork. Disappointing they don't have options to choose, like a green or meatless version of the pozole. Just pork. Found a few bones in the broth from the meat, too. Not great.

If you're dining in, you seat yourself and a waiter comes and serves you chips and salsa. Though I was very confused by the salsa containers. They come in ketchup and mustard containers. Once you order, that was pretty much it, I didn't hear from the waiter again. Did see him on his phone though but that's to be expected if you have a teenager ringing people up and waiting on them. Sad they didn't check on me again, I would have ordered something else.

The vibes were bland. The outside is not inviting, the inside is bare, too. Just a couple of plants, a tv, and maybe some wall decor I can't even remember.

They have a parking lot, restrooms, and they accept card and have an atm in house.

We visited this establishment on Sunday 9/22/24 for brunch (party of 8). We have come here before and I decided to write a review this time around. Service has definitely improved since my last visit, the waitress was kind and prompt, we got our food within minutes. If you’re looking for your typical homemade, authentic Mexican food, this is as good as it gets. I haven’t found other restaurants in the area that come close to that homemade taste of our traditional foods, that’s why we’ve been coming back to Canelitas! The kid serving me took 5 minutes to find menus, and my friends menu was dirty possibly from the previous customer, 5$ for a small sized cup was outrages, high priced food for it to come in low quality, steak in my burrito wasn’t cooked all the way through. And I understand hiring kids with disabilities is good and I’m all for it, but when you’re taking almost 5 minutes to charge me for 5 things someone is bound to be annoyed.
