United States Postal Service — Local services in Elgin

Post office 66 Grove Ct Elgin, IL 60120, it's terrible and I only go here to pick up my package or shipping something out. Years I been going this location some of the ladies here who works at the counters that's been there for a long time have bad customer service. Majority don't even smile and have the look of like having bad day or I hate my job look. Not sure if they realized that they're lucky to have their job that others wished ar in their place. I also felt sometimes some of these ladies working at the counter even though I want a particular shipment expedited the way I want it which will even generate more money for USPS if they know it will cause them too much work to process the package, they will try to convince you mailing it different way. The only time they will be nice is when they are required to tell the customer to fill up the survey. They should be working with the USPS standards as a whole is to provide good customer service and generate more money regardless how much work it will cause to complete a transaction. I wish these things...

Very confusing signage/ line system for mail services vs passports. Just got yelled at by the postal worker because I was in the wrong spot (thought the line for mail services was in a different place). She went off on me with a completely inappropriate level of anger, the whole place got quiet! Literally the definition of “going postal” I didn’t say anything in response except I’m sorry and let them know that I do have bad hearing because this woman just flew off the handle and it seemed like someone just needed to diffuse the situation. Wow. Never going back to this location again. Didn’t end up mailing my package because I don’t want her to see my home address! It was at that level of anger.
