most of the reviews here are fake, owner of the shop is very active online and makes sure he balances out the negatives with fake positive reviews.
when selling something here BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE,
the worst prices in the area when it comes to gold or if its electronics he will give you the long story that no one wants what you are selling and he has many of them blah blah blah, and he will offer a bone crushing offer that will dissapoint anyone. he doesent really buy much of anything anymore, only thing he cares about is quick flip items such as BRAND NEW ELECTRONICS, GOLD GOLD GOLD, any power tool must be battery operated as he doesent buy any corded ones, and besides all that they treat you like they are doing you a favor everytime. take it or leave it i dont care type attitude. must be stressfull picking through peoples valuables and offering dirt cheap money to then turn and ebay them the same day.
save yourself the trouble and go to ELMORA Cash and pawn with your valuable metal and RICHS PAWN on broad st newark, make this spot your absolute last unless you want to be treated like a crackhead by the owners buddy who sits there and criticizes everything. the man who seems like the owner, gentleman with glasses is actually ok guy, the company he keeps, problebly relatives that ruin the experience and make me feel like im dealing with the MAFIA or something. only go there to shop and never give the asking price. cut it in half and work your way up to what YOU KNOW is fair. if not come back another day maybe theyll be in the mood then, prices are all flexible and reliant on you and the vendors mood and attitude.
I guess they are used to treating people that way since usually when you go to pawn they know your desperate and need the cash so its easy to degrade and take people items for dirt cheap.
Nothing but a tiny museum with old relics they wont sell because its their collection and a drive buy rape when you need money...
Read moreI came here twice this week with my mom to sell some decades old jewelry. Firstly, I was very impressed with Roman’s (owner) character. He is knowledgeable and extremely courteous. My mom noticed he was very personable and friendly too. His associate, Steve appears pleasant as well. We were greeted in a friendly manner and were there for almost an hour each visit. We never felt rushed or dissuaded in any way. In my dealing primarily with Roman, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with him and I only wish I had a ton more of jewelry just so that I can keep going back! Lol. His pricing was on point and whilst I did not seek to go elsewhere for comparison, he assured us that we were getting the highest price around and even without him stating this, I knew he was right and being honest when we were immediately informed by his partner Steve of the gold pricing status on that particular day. I felt confident that we were in fact in great...
Read moreAfter doing some research I decided to give this place a shot with some jewelry I owned after reading these "rave reviews". The first man I was greeted by was nice but the second one who actually handled my pieces was first off, quite rude in the fact that he comes off very condescending as if he is some kind of expert. I MIGHT have believed that he was being that he works there, but since he didn't even take the time to really look and notice ALL of my jewelry was authentic and stamped, he assured me that it wasn't very valuable offering me less than $20 for what I have now sold online for over $200. To top it off, he spoke as if $18 was a generous amount for what I brought. I had many other things to sell, but his attitude was disgusting to the point that I decided against doing business with him. The other drunk, useless guy behind the counter was more appealing...
