We cannot recommend supporting this eatery for the following reasons! 1. When we walked in the store and ordered there was no greeting nor were we thanked for oyr order. 2. When I asked the employee to fry rhe chicken soft, his response was that ut was already soft! Newsflash, most of the 10 pieces of cgicken we hard and difficult to chew! 3.They do not prepare food how you want it. Instead, they give you food how they want to. They do not respond to customers. Therefore customers should stop supporting New York Fried Chicken. You are not getting food how uou want it so you are wasting money buy supporting New York Fried Chicken! 4. Next, they do not check orders! We were given the wrong order so instead of aplolgizing all the cashier said was "Give us 5 minutes!" So, we are now working on at least 25 minutes waiting for our orders! Then the 3 employees seemingly argue, but then make a joke about the virus pandemic!? 5. Finally, when we do get the order the cashier says thank you. No compensation for our time at all! The people in the community should not support this place! 6. They think they are doing customers a favor! What are they doing for this community anyway besides selling fried chicken all day? Cook at home instead! P.S. They sell rotten strawberries and moldy food!!!!!!! People dont understand English language trying to kill people with moldy food. 650 people die every year from moldy food there chicken is left for hours and maybe even days... If tou choose to eat here makesure that tou have them cook you fresh food. I have a 4 year degree in culinary arts and this place doesnt even come close to a 1.5 star. Try NOT SERVING ROTTEN MOLDY STRAWBERRIES AND OTHER FRUITS. CLEAN YOUR SALAD COOLER PUT THAT FOOD SHOULDNT BE HELD LONGER THEN 72 HOURS. Tired and weary from a 4 hr flight, we got into Newark at 12am. We asked the, at first, grumpy car rental lady if she wanted to go eat with us at White Castle. “OMG, they’re traaaash now,” she said to our horror. She recommended this place and bless her, with her now cheerful disposition (I assume it was because I offered to beat anyone who was rude to her). Being from Arizona, we were not prepared for the treacherous journey to satiate our hunger. But we did conquer the wild roads at now 1am. We were greeted by a cheerful cashier who took our order, thinking nothing of our disheveled looks. We peered around and it had come up that we were from out of state, tired, hungry and terrified of the parking situation we had just faced. We didn’t order the chicken, but had we known it was the best dish on their menu, we would have! He brought us out complementary chicken with some biscuits. My partner and I ravaged the piping hot food and it wasn’t the best fried chicken we had had because we were hungry, but because it was moist, crunchy and flavorful. Thank you!
