I purchased 3 trays of food. 1 of beef ribs with rice and fries, 1 of chicken with rice and fries and 1 of pork ribs with rice and fries. I paid a total of $69.31. It was to-go and when I arrived back home with the food, I found pieces of a wire brush used for cleaning the grills in their restaurant in my food. Specifically within the portion of rice and french fries of the trays. I took the food back to the establishment, showed them the food and the only one who acknowledged the error was one of the cooks who's named Maria. She showed me the brush, it was old and broken, she called out the other cook working with her and gave me the benefit of the doubt. Now the manager and cashier. They refused to refund me, kept the tainted food and didn't even have the courtesy to at least offer and apology or to replace the food with a new order they were ambivalent and apathetic. They didn't care didn't resolve it. Because of that, I had to call the police. They also told the officers that they aren't going to give me a refund. So the officers suggested that I contact my bank and dispute the refund refusal to their disputes department. They filed a report on the establishment, said they will give it to me, and with that, it allows me to take these people to court with the police report if I choose. Specifically to the Department of Health and Safety. I am making this comment to advise other customers who may go to this restaurant to eat, to take picture of your orders and your receipt, and check to make sure something like the wire brush bits don't show up in your food. What if someone eating one of these meals ends up getting something like a piece of wire brush or something worse in their food? They could end up choking, dying, or even getting an infection in their intestines. It's metal, dirty metal that hasn't been cleaned. In general, this place has a huge sanitation problem and these two ladies (the manager and cashier) made me feel bad being a customer so long over there. over 15 years in fact. I've been buying food from since even the former owners of the place Atonio and Celene Oliveira were there. I feel disrespected and mistreated. They showed a complete lack of empathy, professionalism, trust, and lack of conscience with me as a customer in regards to the whole situation. I understand that when a customer is not treated with good service or are left unsatisfactory with their service, they are supposed to receive their money back at the very least. The manager told the officers that we allegedly planted the wire brush pieces in the food. Something was clearly wrong and lie and the lady who cooks and packs the orders (the aforementioned Maria) saw all of that as it truly unfolded. The manager and cashier lied right to the officers' faces. The blatant refusal for a simple refund to go to these lengths. This is stealing, it should be illegal. I suggest future customers read other comments on this restaurant as well because I'm not the first person to have problems...

Read moreI placed an order for delivery at 4 o clock today and the girl on the phone told me it was going to take 1 hour. It instead took more then two hours. Every time I called after the 1 mark , the girl told me the driver was 5 mins away for one whole hour 🤦♀️. Then I finally get my food which is now cold and open it to find out it’s a completely different order then what I ordered and what is on the receipt that is attached to the food tray. I ordered beef ribs but there was chicken instead. So then I called the restaurant and the girl told me I had to take the food back to the restaurant to get my money back or the correct order!!! Like what?! You guys messed up my order and now I have to physically go to the restaurant when I originally placed the order for delivery so I didn’t have to go to the store?? The worst part is I waited 15 minutes to speak to the manager and I heard them in the back saying “hang up” and that’s what they did. They hung up on me and everytime I called back they didn’t pick up and when they did they immediately hung up. So basically I’m stuck with food that I never ordered and they kept my money because I payed more for beef. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism at a restaurant. Shame on everyone there. Will never be ordering again and I suggest no one else does. There are a lot more Portuguese restaurants in the area that are better and appreciates...
