Ok so here’s how it went. me, my husband and my friend decided to try the paint n sip. It’s very hard for me and my husband to go out bc we are On a super tight budget but we’re like ok it’s one night let’s just do it. Thought it would be worth it. Heard very good things about it. The event itself Super fun and def worth trying but don’t do it here bc the rest of the night was terrible. First of all, when we sat down we literally had 3 different people at 3 different times come up to us and all asked for our drink order.. happens fine whatever. Anyways when I was trying to order a mimosa but with strawberry lemonade instead of orange juice the one waitress kept insisting I wanted the frozen strawberry lemonade with vodka. I literally had to spell it out for her what I wanted like 6 different times. Moving on, we ordered our food, the hanging coconut shrimp was definitely the only good food we had That night. The rest was totally not up to par at all. I had the steak ordered medium rare and my husband ordered the linguine pancetta. My friend didn’t order anything bc we all asked literally all the 3 waitresses what are the gluten free options and actually got a different answer from Each one of them so bc of that she didn’t feel comfortable eating bc she is very allergic to gluten. Next, when our food actually came my steak was Literally well done and my husband pasta was absolutely tasteless. I tried telling the waitress but she wasn’t understanding also it didn’t help that you couldn’t hear anything bc the music was so loud but I get that music part bc it’s a club type restaurant I guess. So we end up eating our food bc we literally didn’t eat anything all day bc we were going to be coming here at night and didn’t want to ruin our appetite. Now, to drink my husband ordered a coke and when he finished the first one and asked if it was free refills he was told yes ( again the music was loud and they were barely understanding us maybe they didn’t hear him correctly idk) and then Was charged later for the second coke and of course to top it all off they automatically add gratuity onto the check and I looked on the menu and I made sure bc I know a lot of places do this , and NOWHERE did it say gratuity will automatically be added. Mind you this was a party of 3 not 6 or a big party. We decided to leave and just call today to talk to the manager instead of trying to talk to the waitress who was barely understanding what we needed anyways and also didn’t want to yell over the loud music. Fast forward to today, literally was not as mad as I am now about it just wanted to bring it to their attention. I just got off the phone with who I believe is the manager based on what I was told and I let him what happened. This is literally the point where I got furious. When He apologized he started to actually blame his waitresses for literally everything including the bad food. Not only did he blame them he asked me which one it was and when I told him idk I didn’t get anyone name there were so many of them so he asked me to describe them and since I couldn’t bc I I so was annoyed and didn’t notice bc I just didn’t care at that point especially since I felt most of them took part in this bad Experience. Since I couldn’t give him specifics on the waitress he Then proceeded to actually start to try and describe one of the girls as if he was already had It made up in his mind who is to blame for this. I can’t believe he was actually blaming the waitress for all the events. How is it Her fault the food was gross. He told me if I wanted to come Back which I already made it clear I wouldn’t be. He said he’d give me 30% off and free round of drinks. No thank you. If I’m not gonna be getting good food service when paying full price I’m scared to know what service I will be getting when getting a discount and them knowing I was the one who complained. Highly do not recommend. Waste of money and time. Literally could’ve just burned my $150 and gotten...
Read moreI went to The Ivy @ Noah Osteria yesterday 5/8 after seeing the Instagram account, it looked like a nice place to try before they gained more popularity. My friend and I showed up at approx 2:10 and were seated immediately, brunch ended at 4, the deal was $50 pp (even though it’s advertised at $45 on the ig account) with bottomless mimosa or bellinis. Our waiter asked for our order, we hadn’t got to look at the menu so we needed a moment. A few mins later a different waiter came to take our order which our original waiter must not have liked and for whatever reason, for the rest of our time there he was completely uninterested in serving us, he didn’t say anything when we said thank you multiple times, he barely looked at us, so already off to a bad start (his name was Nino for the record). We ordered food that can be made very quickly, a parfait, avocado toast, waffles, and french toast. All of which take maybe 20 mins to make. We waited about 45 mins just for the parfait and avocado toast. The parfait was plain Greek yogurt with no flavor (tasted like straight sour cream), strawberries, honey, and granola. Tasted terrible to say the least. We waited another 45 mins before I reached my limit and complained that we hadn’t gotten our food. At that point I wasn’t interested in the cold French toast they were planning on giving because it was going to go in the trash. I was told by the manager they were concentrating on the 3 other parties they had going on which was obvious because everyone had gotten their food with the exception of us. For the record, I’m not a person who expects or even asks for discounts on food but in this particular situation we literally only ate the subpar appetizers and when we received our bill (with gratuity included Mind you) again I asked to speak with the Manager. I specifically said the fact that I even have to ask you to discount our food is ridiculous but we’ve sat here for almost 2 hours with no service yet we’re expected to pay full price plus gratuity ? I pay gratuity based on the service I received and if it were not included they wouldn’t have gotten much out of me that day. He wound up giving us a mangers discount of 15% and a voucher for a free drink or app if we come back. Safe to say I will not be returning until they iron out the kinks and get more staff in the kitchen to keep up with the parties they have coming in. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement because I feel like they knew they kept us waiting and didn’t apologize for the wait until after I complained, nor did they offer to discount our food to help rectify the situation I had to request a discount myself. Even with the discount I wound up spending $50 and then another $10 when I left to go get more food elsewhere. I’m sure they will reply saying sorry and we tried to make it right but that’s not my point in leaving the review. At this stage since they’re so new I wouldn’t bother going, there are so many other brunch spots in the area with better service and way...
Read moreLast night myself and 5 of my cousins went to Noah to celebrate my late birthday and my sister’s birthday that was on Friday, the 14th. The hostess was nice and so was our waitress Yesenia. Things started off good (the service could be better) we received our appetizers in a timely manner and drinks as well. My sister pregnant (1 out of the 2 birthday girls) sister was running a bit late and when she arrived the ginger ale that I ordered 30 mins prior did not arrive and the one thing she was craving the lamb chop was no longer available. I really wanted the Grilled Pulpo as my entire as I had a large meal prior to going to Noah’s and ate several appetizers prior and was told they were out of octopus. Then my I ordered the Pepperoni Flatbread, just to have to waitress bring it over minus the Pepperoni and then when I asked where the pepperoni was she proceeds to look down and says she was informed they are out of pepperoni. I would have been nice to know prior to ordering, but I was informed in real time when the meal was presented so I requested it be taken back. My cousin ordered the Seafood Fra Diavola which she was aware would be missing the octopus and she was fine with that. The dish was suppose to also have mussels, clams, and shrimp. Instead she received a lot of pasta with shrimp and mussels, no clams. They ran out of clams as well. Again, the waitress could have informed of this prior to bringing these dishes to our table. Another cousin had the special of steak and lobster tail which she found to be extremely under seasoned. I end up ordering truffle fries and Penne Al Pomodoro with shrimp , with my shrimp being under cooked and overall an okay dish. I ordered 2 cocktails which were very light on alcohol, more sweetness than actual libations. I ordered the Dame Luz twice and it tasted like two different drinks. I am assuming the bartender was switched midway through our dinner and I ordered a classic mojito which was more lime and club soda than anything else. We end up sending over $500 for a 2 star experience and now we have to find another spot to do over my pregnant sister’s 35th birthday family dinner because she was extremely disappointed that our night was a bust. We normally take group pics for each bday celebration but last night was the first night everyone just left and went straight home. I understand I could have asked to speak to a manager and complain all through out the night, but in honestly harassing the manager and staff would have made us uncomfortable and fearful that they staff might spit in our food, so just endured and plus a table filled with black women did not want to draw the wrong attention to themselves and seem problematic. I will ensure that my loved ones what to expect and the type of patrons to expect in an establishment like Noah’s. No dessert to celebrate our birthdays, sub par dining and service at best, and we were served water in plastic cups. I would say Noah’s is a solid 2 stars and we will not...
