In 2015 my one year contract came to an end and I decided to take a break but eventually i went back in oct. 2016. At first i was advised that I would be signing a one year contract HOWEVER after 0ct. 2017 they still kept charging me for a contract that was supposed to come to an end. When i called the gym to see why this was happening i spoke to a woman named Chris and she said that because I had not called to “cancel” the contract it was renewed for another year WITHOUT my consent and if I did not continue to pay for the services their creditor would send my name to collections. I have placed a complaint with BBB and New Jersey consumer affairs. What is unethical is that they trick you into a two year contract and offer no support whatsover. STAY AWAY !!!!! There are much better Gyms in the area that actually have customer service. Just an update : I changed debit cards until this is resolved in small claims court and SOMEHOW they got a hold of my new card information and charged $96.00 that were not authorized. Seriously, this has come to bad to worse. Save yourself the nightmare....
Read moreI have been a member of Evolution Fitness for about 7 months now. I originally started with the 6 month membership to try it out and extended it because I feel comfortable with this place. Staff is very friendly, the facility is kept clean and organized. They have group classes with GREAT trainers that offer different programs depending on each persons focus. I personally don’t miss any HIIT day with Ilca. I have tried multiple classes but hers fits best with my current workout routine and I am loving my journey!! I can proudly say that I am able to see improvement on my own self and I am pretty sure many feel the same way with their routines with each trainer. They also have a muscle therapy room (which I haven’t tried but I think it’s a cool concept to have), and a little cute store where they sell clothes, gym gear, pre workouts, and other stuff. Sauna, juice bar, tanning machine, and awesome trainers/instructors + a clean facility (with the weights often being put back on its place) it’s the kind of gym facility and community...
Read moreHighly unprofessional! I have requested several times to cancel my membership after the gym shutdown for several months due to Covid. They are claiming that I still have 3 months left to my contract and I must pay no matter what or my account will go into debt collection. Are you KIDDING ME? Go to the gym during a pandemic!! Its not this difficult CANCEL my account you have already collected payment for a month when this all began that I couldn't attend the gym! Now the gym is shutdown AGAIN due to surge of people infected in this area and I am still getting calls from their financing company trying to collect payment from me. I have been coming to this gym for years and I am so so disappointed by how they handled this situation. Listen we are all desperate to stay afloat during these hard times but charging people to be in a situation where they are likely to get sick or infected is ridiculous and completely...
