Adding to my review from 10 months ago. After taking off about 6 months, my family started going here again. Orders are still frequently wrong or poor quality. The last 4 iced coffee I've ordered on the app have had coffee grounds in them (and taste terrible). Usually I don't check until I'm driving away, but today I looked as I was sitting there waiting for a refund and exchanged it for tea. They had run out of an item I ordered (apparently hours earlier) but the app did not say out of stock. Not sure if that's the restaurant's fault or the app. Two other varieties said out of stock so I ordered the other one...
We're fairly new to the area and started coming to this location in Dec/Jan. At first, it was slow but good. Now, it's ridiculously slow, and at least the last 6 orders have had something wrong or missing. Apparently pastries are only to be eaten for breakfast or lunch, because anytime I try to order one after 4:30 or 5, all they have left is cookies. This afternoon, I ordered a large iced coffee, light ice, like I do several times a week. At the window, I was handed a small, which often happens. Sometimes I correct them, sometimes I don't. Today I did mention it was supposed to be large. As he's closing the window, he said "I'll put it in a large cup." It was odd how he said it though. He handed it back in a large crammed full of ice. Pretty sure, he dumped it in a bigger cup and added ice, not coffee. When I scooped out the ice so it wouldn't be watered down, it was half full. The time before that, I gave my credit card at the window and waited a long time, when I happened to notice the lady I gave my card to was in the parking lot talking to someone in the pick up area. Um... strange. Finally, someone else came to the window, handed me a bag, and I had to ask for my card back. I didn't realize until I got home, they had not given me the drink I ordered (for someone else) and one of the sandwiches had peppadew peppers which I had asked to be left off. Also recently, when ordering in, the cashier must have been new because she was less than helpful. I have ordered extra bread slices more than once. She insisted I couldn't, they don't sell it by the slice. Funny, after I paid, another employee assured me they do and rang it up. For my child's birthday, this is what he picked for his bday meal. The avocados on his sandwhich were dark and stringy. Another time I ordered a family meal deal with cookies to go - they left out the cookies. It's mind boggling that others have commented about orders being wrong for over 6 months, yet, apparently nothing is being done to...
Read moreOn yesterday evening, I visited Panera Bread. Ordered Greek Salad with chicken. Last 4x visited, the Pepperoncini - which I love - were OLD, not fresh. Serving expired ones evidently. I know because I usually buy a jar when I grocery shop. But, this is not so much my complaint (I have a jar of pepperoncini at home already.
After ordering, I drive up to the window. There's a black car with a young girl in front of me smoking a cigarette. Panera Bread employee, Brittany, leaning out of window talking. Immediately I can tell this is possibly a personal conversation going on but since I couldn't be sure, I sit and wait patiently. Approximately 4 almost 5 minutes in, still no food has been handed out of the window and they're still talking. I tap my horn and they both look at me but continue with their conversation. I then lay on my horn a lil bit longer this time. The girl in the car flips her middle finger at me and drives off.
I ask for a manager when I finally get to the window and not knowing at the moment but a Team Manager shows up, tells me meal is on Panera Bread tonight. Okay thank you but I still want the number to Corporate because what I just witnessed is the most unprofessional, inconsiderate and rudest act of customer service I've ever seen. I also tell the manager that the person (I don't know them) behind me should also receive meal without charge as they were sitting behind me this entire time waiting for this personal conversation to end. Team Manager says she's going to get number. Never returns and Assistant Manager then comes to window. He later comes outside, provides me phone number and asks exactly what happened. Once again I repeat my witness of their employee having a personal conversation while three cars to include myself wait. Had I not blown my horn who knows how much longer we would have sat there waiting. ...
Read moreThis location frequently disappoints. The drive thru service should be convenient, but it never is because your order will be wrong 4 out of 5 times. Also, there is a lot of inconsistency in how your order will be rung up in relation to what does and does not qualify for 99c bakery items. We continue to eat here often despite being regularly disappointed. Ex- $4.99 for a grilled cheese and yogurt kids meal. The grilled cheese is often burnt badly, or served on a half piece of an alternate bread instead of a whole piece of the correct bread listed on the menu which is seriously smaller than it should be and what you are paying for. This would be acceptable if they asked you/informed you first or lowered the price, but they don't.
Salads are also inconsistently made with ratios of vegetables and dressings, we have simply given up and just ask for the dressing on the side so it isn't drenched and ruined. I just think for a slightly expensive "fast food" option, when you pay $7+ for a sandwich or salad they should take the time and get it right.
The store is clean and the employees are nice, but for some reason they cannot ever really get it all the...
