Quite literally the worst experience at any Penn station ever. I usually prefer to go to the radcliff location but unfortunately they were closed so I was forced to go to the Elizabethtown location. As someone who used to be a TL at Penn station I completely understand being short staffed, busy, rude customers, and just being overall frustrated. But as a customer service worker you cannot take those frustrations out on every single customer including the nice ones. As soon as me and my husband walked into the building the older lady on the grill is sighing loudly at us just walking in and telling her coworker to tell us that’s it’s gonna be a minute in a very snarky tone of voice. After taking my order which was 5 large cheese breads, which understandably is a lot of bread at once but I literally just wanted the cheese and bread no sauce or oregano. The taller man with curly hair is complaining. Saying things like “5 large cheese breads really?” While I’m standing right there. He continues to complain and i notice he is putting Parmesan cheese on the first 2 which granted i forgot to say no parm just provolone so before he makes the other 3 i ask the lady if he could do those last 3 provolone only. NOT ASKING him to remake the other 2 because that was my fault. The older lady then starts complaining to him saying i should’ve ordered correctly in the first place. But literally never once asked to remake the other ones just actually asking you to do LESS WORK by leaving the Parmesan off. Genuinely will never go to this Penn station again if for whatever reason radcliff location is closed i would rather drive all the way to the Louisville Dixie...
Read moreUpdate: I've been eating here for more than 20 years. It's been consistently good, until today. All of these problems we're noticed:
There was no ice. None by the lemonade, and none in the drink fountain.
There wasn't enough lemonade to even fill one cup. It wasn't until after we ordered, got our food, and ate half of it, that more was made. There weren't many customers either.
The men's bathroom was destroyed. The sink was broken (handle off, and just laying there next to the faucet). It was clogged too, so no one was washing hands in there. The urinal was out of order and filled with grossness. The toilet was soaked in urine from plastic seat to the point where the porcelain meets the floor. The trash can was over full too. It was bad. For whatever reason, the deadbolt was locked OPEN on the women's room, so the door never really shut.
I got a club sandwich. I found the stem from a banana pepper in it, and no bacon at all. There aren't even banana peppers on a club sandwich.
I don't think I'll go back here. Maybe the one in Radcliff still...
Read moreVisited 3/6/22. We ordered at 2:27PM and waited 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches and cold “fresh cut” fries. When we arrived & placed the order, there was 2 other dine in tables already eating and 2 carry outs waiting for food. There were 5 employees behind the counter eating straight from the toaster oven & fryer, goofing off, wandering around and ignoring guests. I was not given a receipt upon checking out because “that’s against company policy.” Not sure how that makes sense. There were 3 tubs of deli meats sitting on the toaster oven the entire time we were there. The lack of food safety is major concern. Glad it was Sunday & the health department wasn’t there. The tables & floor were filthy with food & trash all over. I totally understand that everywhere is short handed & it’s near impossible to hire/retain good quality help, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve had throughout the pandemic. I’m hoping that someone from higher up will see this & correct the issues. Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the...
