I found the employees to be rude on two occasions, and they do not seem to listen to the customer. On the first visit I asked a redemption question, and the person cut me off assuming he knew what I was asking, but he was wrong. (He did eventually answer my question.) Then, when I placed a smoothie order, I wanted a customization that I had gotten before (nothing strange, just leaving out an ingredient, which is possible in the app), and the young woman said it was not possible. When I said I had before, she asked another employee and discovered she was wrong. She made the item, but did not apologize for her error. On the second visit, two of us went in to pick up app orders. After going back to our car, my friend decided he needed to use the restroom, so he went back inside. When he finished, two employees told him that the facilities are for customers only. When he explained that he had just picked up his order less than 5 minutes before that, they still said it did not matter. That is no way to treat customers, and we won't be going back...
Read moreI visited the Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Elizabethtown today and ordered a Chia Oatmeal Pudding Bowl along with a Pomegranate Plunge Smoothie. There was a large sign in the store advertising $5 smoothies with any food purchase. Before paying, I asked the cashier if the discount was applied automatically or if I needed to ask for it. She told me it was automatic.
After paying, I asked for my receipt—only to find that the discount was not applied. When I brought it to the cashier’s attention, she told me that the bowl I ordered "didn't count as food." I’m not sure how a $9 oatmeal bowl doesn’t qualify. That’s confusing and frankly, frustrating.
I suppose I should have done the math in my head prior to ordering, so that oversight is on me; however, the lack of clarity around what qualifies as “food” for the promotion—and the inability to speak with a manager until 11 AM—still makes for a disappointing experience.

Placed the order on the app, and everything was correct. The Bahama Bowl was delicious. My kiddos like their smoothies, but I tried each and didn't care for either. Came today and had food and more smoothies. There were a couple communication errors, but eventually everything worked out. The hummus wrap was okay, but I don't think hummus and avocado go well together. I love sweet potatos but these were just okay. I think they were supposed to be maple glazed and don't seem to be glazed in anything.
