White Castle — Restaurant in Elizabethtown

I grew up eating Krystal sliders. Never figured there was a difference, only the name, so I bought some frozen White Castles a while back and was relatively pleased with them, so when I got the chance to visit a restaurant, I jumped at it. My first order, my friends and I split a 10 pack, of which I ate half. Lemme tell you, the frozen store bought a DO NOT compare. These were slightly crisped patties. Two layers, where the frozen only has one thicker patty, to keep from getting freezer burnt, I assume. The onions were perfectly grilled and just caramelized enough to enhance their flavor without losing texture. The buns were hot like fresh rolls, with a thin crust surrounding the soft inner goodness. The cheese was just melted enough to be soft and gooey without making a drippy mess. I liked them so much, I ordered a thirty pack on the way back from my trip, at 4am. I was driving, or I could have eaten half of them at once. Instead, I shared them with friends once I got back, and told them the tale of the 100-pack that I plan to go eat in one sitting next time I go. Gonna fast for two days so I can inhale them all at once. Even at 4am, I got a laugh from the girl serving us when I told her I was gonna eat 100 White Castles at one time, and then she whispered, "Wait. Do you really want a hundred of them?", but I told her I wouldn't do that so early in the morning with no warning, when there were only two girls working. I have no doubt if I'd said yes that she would have gotten started on them, but I'm not heartless. Totally worth the visit, and they've made a White Castle lover for life. I was in kentucky visiting my dad for a few days and I stayed at wingfield inn right across the street from white castles..i ordered 2 meals and asked for lettuce and tomatoes onnthe sandwiches the lady told me it would be extra and i said that was fine... well i paid over 20 bucks for 4 sandwichs 2 drinks and 2fries and sime mozzarella sticks...got back to the room no lettuce or tomatoes no where..I called back to the restaurant and i kept getting the voicemail I didnt have time to go back that same day..but once i went the next morning when i was leaving out i had to get a order for my brother to bring back to NC..I couldn't find my receipt by then but I told the lady at the window she told the manager that was standing there near the window but never came to talk to me..i told her i misplaced my receipt but i just wanted to make yall aware when somebody pay extra for something please make sure its on her. Well she basically said since i didnt have the receipt it really was nothing she can do which is fine but would u really think i would lie about not havinv lettuce and tomatoes on my sandwich. I never said i wanted no money or anything back. Just wanted to mention it..well she never did come to the window but the lady that was at the window she said well im sorry about that. We ordered online in order to pick up for convenience and it was anything but. When we arrived after the time the food was supposed to be ready it looked like they had barely started fulfilling our order (it wasn't even busy then). The woman working the register was rude and talked to me like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer and demanded that I pay a higher price than my quote from my online order. This was due to her inability to figure out the ordering system, and instead of trying to work with me she decided that being curt and short was the better option. She wasn't wearing a name tag, and after asking to see the manager she informed me that she was the manager.

Eventually she figured out the register and we completed the transaction, only for me to find out that they messed up the order. We asked them to re-make the order, which they did and ended up messing it up again! We expected this to be a 1 minute transaction and it ended up taking 20 minutes for rude service and an unfulfilled order. I'm not asking for 5 star cuisine, just cordial service and correct fast food but this restaurant cannot comply. We tried to order from here again a few months later and they messed up that order as well. We will not be eating at White...
