This is a happenin joint. Its a big restaurant. We enjoyed it. You know, each restaurant is different, special, and having its uniqueness. Facts about this boombozz: plenty of parking, in etown, big restaurant, smaller glasses, sowwwwwwwwwwwy. boombozzs cost is comparable to others. maybe a little less slightly. u know these restaurants these days have gone crazi with their dessert price madness. it was cheddars i think had all like 8 dolla and above dessert but then they have the 2 dolla honey rolls. i tell ya what we liked o charleys surprisingly better than most. i keep getting tenders or chicken alfredo everywhere we go. but they want less for the tenders. i dont ever get steak and potatoes cuz its impossible. 20 and 25 dollas a steak just for yourself. its madness. but one place i was able to get steak, roast beef, fried chicken and the chicken was fresh, and ribs for one buffet price for 17 i think it was and the drinks were good too. out there at daves steakhouse i think it was i think it was corbin ky i did a review on it. it wannnit bad. each place is different, unique, has different experience to offer. id go back to either of these prolly daves more likely though. its just daves gets a bit crowded. i like boombozz, its just that pizza n wings is prolly better however much smaller than boombozz but in my case pizza n wings is much closer to us too geographically i mean. yuv just not gotta do appetizers or desserts these days cuz its usually 7 and then 9 each dessert its crazy dude. but then that really makes the price easier to handle afterwards. so we like pizza n wings there in campbellsville close to it. oh they have their expensive burgers and pricey stuff too make no mistake. but they have a way weve found we can do it for about 30 each time that includes tip. and 30s too much. but u know inflation of everything, maybe greed too. it comes back to get em later though and they dont know how. let me help you: imagine havin to come back to this mofo and do restaurant work again. over and over and over. imagine it if u think...
Read moreWhen we walked up, there were maybe 10, max 15 total people waiting. It was Saturday night at 5:30pm so I was happy to see we might not have to wait long. Imagine my surprise when the hostess told me that they had an "hour and fifteen minute wait." Uhh what? She told us it was because they had just sat two large tables and were trying to "catch up." I'm not an expert, but this seemed a bit excessive given there really weren't a lot of people waiting in front of us. We decided to wait anyways because we felt like she was lying about the wait time. I walked the restaurant and counted 6 clean and ready to go tables that were unused. And this was after she had told me about the wait. Needless to say, we only waited 25 minutes before we were seated. I don't know if she was trying to turn people away or what. It's a restaurant on Saturday night; it's going to be packed and large parties are going to come in. There was plenty of staff on site to accommodate all of the customers so that wasn't the problem. Even if she was trying to let the kitchen catch up, I don't think they needed an hour and 15 minutes. Once we were seated, our waitor was great. He kept our drinks filled, checked on us often, and made sure our food came out hot. The wait time for food was appropriate and not too long. It tasted great and we had no complaints about the food. I do wish the restaurant was a little bigger. It seemed like we were all packed in and I was constantly having to watch for wait staff walking behind me. Three solid stars. I deducted 1 star for clearly lying to us about the wait and another star because apparently they can't handle an early Saturday night (I feel sorry for anyone who came during the normal rush). I'm not sure I will be back to this Boombozz. Hopefully it's just some growing pains and they will get their system...
Read moreLet me start with PRAISE for the service staff, who are SUPER helpful and friendly. We've been to this location twice over this past year, and each time the staff went out of their way to ensure that our order was done in a timely fashion (we ordered takeout on both occasions, as we were passing through town and staying at the Holiday Inn Express across the street). But stellar service aside, the plain simple truth of the matter is that the food just isn't good. :-( The first time we ordered the "Pollotate," but everything was SO drowned in cheese that you really couldn't taste any of the toppings (it was basically one-note, across the board). We were so disappointed, having expected fresh ingredient "craft" pizza, that we promised we wouldn't eat there again. But last night, we decided to give it another shot. Unfortunately, it was equally (or perhaps more so) disappointing. We ordered the "Margherita" - but the crust was flavorless, there was no basil whatsoever (even though there was supposed to be "fresh basil"), and the tomatoes were scattered in little clumps unequally across the top (with many slices having none at all). The flavor (again) was all one-note, and not good. The "asiago cheese bread" looked like thin-crust pizza with a thin layer of cheese on it; and tasted flat and flavorless. We (my wife and I) each had three bites of each, and left the rest in the box(es). And the "Caesar salad" was so drenched with dressing that all of the lettuce was soggy and limp. The whole experience just made us sad, not angry, as the staff was so nice and helpful, and we wanted to like it. And if you bother to check my other reviews you'll see I'm NOT a chronic hater (at all). But I DO know pizza, and this isn't "craft" pizza, and it's...
