BED BUGS!!!!!! I want to give this "hotel" negative stars or at least none at all, but then it won't let me post, so 1 it is. Absolutely HORRIFIC stay and my family and I will be forever traumatized. We stayed here not by choice, but having to stay due to an event we were attending. This was by far and away the WORST hotel we have and ever WILL stay in. The rooms were disgusting. Dirty, old and we felt like we were in a $20 a night motel when in fact we were spending $200 a night. Family of 4 and we had to ask for towels every day because apparently they thought we would share. Bed sheets I'm pretty sure were never changed, and they weren't because we had bed bugs. We tried calling everywhere at 2am to find a new hotel but everything was completely booked so we had no choice but to change our room and hope for the best. We even contemplated sleeping in our vehicle even though it was cold weather. Our original room was literally crawling with bed bugs and thank god our daughter found them before we all went to bed because then we would be dealing with medical issues as well. Oh, and the second room we got? Had them too…. It was COVID all over again when we got home from our trip. Everything dumped in the garage and not coming in til it was bleached or washed. Breakfast, if you want to call it that, was almost non-existent and what they did have, look so unappetizing we had to head to Starbucks and Dunkin for food. Staff was not friendly either. This "hotel" definitely deserves a -10/10. Oh... and the bed bugs? they were so nonchalant which tells me this happens all. the. time.

I have no idea how some people come to their ratings conclusions, but this place is absolutely terrible and I will tell you why in this rating. Start with the sleazy personnel at check in and check out (check out to follow later). The room had too high ceilings which gave a bad feel to the room. The tv was tiny and there was no channel listing. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and my many years in the military have made me very non critical of bathrooms. All the fixtures were outdated and low end. The tiny short toilet leaked and the seat was loose. There was hair on the floor from previous occupants. Only two towels on a junky and rotting shelf. The water was only luke warm and not hot. There is no gym. Just a tiny room by the pool with a junk bike and treadmill. The breakfast was absolute low grade garbage. No selections and the stuff available was cheap stuff like you find in a gas station. As we tried to eat, the creepy southern Asian man working the desk leered at my wife. As we exited, I walked by openly carrying my travel pillows that I take on vacations. The rude guy accused me of stealing pillows. There is no elevator to the second floor, so take note if handicapped. The entrance was difficult for handicap entry. There were a lot of creepy people lingering the lot and some dope smelling locals were smoking right at the front door. This is a cheap, run down, foul place that gives the Wyndham franchise a bad name. Stay away from this disgusting place.

This review really bums me out. I stayed here with my 3 kids, and my granddaughter. The staff was nice and the location was great, literally 10 minutes from anywhere I wanted to go. Unfortunately, I was put in a room that was set to be across from like 4 rooms getting re-tiled. This has been probably my most miserable stay in Kentucky. I finally went and said something to the front desk, the man said he could change my room, but I was leaving the next day so didn't see the point. The workers in question left tools everywhere, my granddaughter, she's 2, almost stepped on a utility knife that was left open, they would blast their music and start singing loudly and yelling, the workers were staring at my daughters, to the point my girls didn't want to use the pool, they didn't want to go out in the hall in their swimsuits. What makes me the most mad, why would you as a hotel, put a person and 4 kids in a room across from a bunch of rooms being done. I should have demanded a refund, or at least half a refund. I am very angry and will not be chosing this hotel again. I spoke with customer care and was denied a refund because the hotel staff lied about the day I was offered a room. I was offered a new room at approximately 1:30 pm on March 26th, I was checking out the 27th. UPDATE: I WAS FLAT OUT DENIED A REFUND, I AM VERY ANGRY. I WILL CONTINUE TO EMAIL CORPORATE, ITS RIDICULOUS THAT I EVEN HAD TO BE HOUSED IN A ROOM ACCOSS FROM PLANNED CONSTRUCTION!!!!!

My rating is based on consideration of price & overall value compared with other options in this area.||There were a couple minor issues explained later, but I decided to still give 5 stars based on overall value & several redeeming factors.||Double queen Room was very comfortable - bed & selection of sevrl pillows were very comfy, and looked, smelled & felt clean.||No cig or weed smell in rm which is very important to me. Amazingly I did not even smell it in hallways.||Some of the carpeting is a bit dated with a few minor stains etc here & there (nothing I felt was disgusting or unacceptable.)||Work desk was an adequately nice size with comfortable chair (important factor to me as I had a lot of computer work to do.) There was a desk lamp but as is fairly common it was a bit dim. In an overall fairly dim room, a brighter desk lamp would be very helpful. It was right near window which helped a bit during daylight hrs, but brighter light would still be a great help.||All interactions with staff were pleasant. Everyone was nice, friendly & professional.||One reason i almost took off at least one star was bc I had called ahead b4 booking to ask if I would be able to have a slightly late check out of around 12:00 or 12:30 rather than 11:00, because I needed to do a lot of computer work in the morning. I was told it would be no problem to check out at 12:00. However when I got there and was checking in I was told the next day was going to be be very busy with a lot of check-ins and therefore I would have to call the front desk in the morning to confirm if it would be possible but that I likely would need to be out by 11:00 or 11:30 at the very latest. That extra half an hour probably doesn't sound like a lot and this would likely not be an issue for most people, but to me it was extremely important and the extra half hour was very much needed. It was a big reason I chose to book here because many other places I checked with in the area did not allow late checkouts. It's interesting because I stayed at the Ramada in Bowling Green an hour away the night before, and they had no problem allowing me to check out at 12:30. They were very happy to do it, and I will most definitely stay there again because of their helpfulness.||||Anyway, I called in the morning and was told I would definitely have to be out by 11:30 because they needed to get in and clean the room to get it ready to check out. I never really understand this because many people do not check into a hotel until evening time, so I don't really get why there's a rush to have people out by 11:00. I know the cleaning staff is only there up to a certain time, but whenever I leave these places they are always working on different floors and have many other rooms to finish up so I don't understand why it's so difficult if there's one room or even a few, which they need to avoid for a short while before going in. They have plenty of other rooms to keep them busy in the meantime so it just doesn't really make sense.||||As it turned out I ended up being able to stay till 12:00 which was one of the redeeming factors which caused me to decide to give them five stars after all. When 11:30 came I had all my bags packed and by the door ready to go but the cleaning people were not in sight yet so I called front desk again to ask if it would be okay if I continued to stay and work on my computer until they showed up at my door. The manager told me that would be fine as they were on the second and third floor right then and it would probably be at least 15 or 20 minutes before they got down. As it turned out they didn't show up until 12:00 lol. So I was able to continue working until that time.||||What are the other minor issues was when I took a shower in the morning the water was only lukewarm for quite a while. I waited a few minutes and tried again and was still the same so I finally got in, but after being in there for about 3 or 4 minutes the water gradually got a little warmer till it was fairly warm, not quite hot. That was a little annoying and it was late enough in the morning that many people had already left and there shouldn't have been a lot of people accessing hot water right then so I'm not sure if they're hot water recovery time is just very slow or what. But it did eventually get fairly comfortable so I decided not to mark off for that. For some people this might be very important. The pressure was adequate. Not as good as some places but much better than a few places I've been.||||The other issue which I would normally absolutely take points off for was I did end up encountering several roaches. I normally find this very disgusting and would normally give a very low rating and not consider coming back. However, there were a couple factors that helped a little bit. One, all of the ones that I saw were very small and they were stationary, not moving at all. One was on the wall near the ceiling in the main room, a couple were in the bathroom and one was on the floor near the vanity area which is just inside the main door. They all acted like they were almost dead, so it made it obvious to me that the hotel does spray for bugs and the roaches were probably in the process of dying.||I know it's very hard for places like hotels to stay completely free of roaches, and in my experience this is particularly true on the ground floors. I tend to see them much less often on upper floors for some reason. But it is not necessarily always a sign of uncleanliness and I felt like this hotel did a good job of trying to keep things as clean as they could. The inside of the microwave and the fridge were spotless, and other than perhaps behind certain things or in tiny little corners things looked very clean.||In any case, because it was clear they do treat for bugs, and because the bugs were all in the process of dying and we're stationary and not screwing around and so on. So, because of the overall good service provided by all of the staff and the friendly professional interactions , and the comfortableness of the bed which is very important to me, the lack of odors in the room and the overall appearance of cleanliness I decided not to mark off for seeing the bugs this one time. This is very unusual and I normally would but perhaps because of the fact they were dying, they did not really creep me out like bugs normally would in my room.||I did not try the breakfast so I cannot write that.||Overall, for a room under $70 through booking.com, I felt it was a good value and I would definitely consider staying again especially if I could be assured of the possibility of...

The woman at the front desk was rude and seemed annoyed. I had been kayaking in KY and was going to be meeting my family the half way to FL so they would be meeting me at the hotel later that night. Before I made my reservation I called and explained to the person on the phone that I would be at the hotel early because the rest of my ride was heading home and I would be waiting for family to arrive that evening. I asked about early check-in and she said she couldn't guarantee there would be a room open but that she would write a note by my reservation. I could hang out in the lobby or swim in the pool if my room wasn't available when I arrived. I was happy with that and booked. When I arrived the woman at the front desk seemed annoyed and when I told her what the person said when I had previously spoke to before even making the reservation she acted as if I was lying. She said early check-in wasn't even till 1:30 and that the pool was only open from 3-9. I told her I would wait then. So 1:30 came and she never said anything to me. I went up at 1:45 and said Hi. She followed by a hi with a heavy sigh of annoyance....this lady had some problem with me. I continued to be patient and ignore her rudeness. She went to look for a room. When I got it and opened the door I realized she didn't give me the suite I had reserved. When I went out to explain she was all "huffy puffy" and said that there was not any available and I had to wait. I said no problem. Luckily, a maid had been nearby and said that a suite was available. Followed by the woman at the front desk asking rudely.."Is it even clean yet!?!" She calmly said yes and told her what number. Ironically the suites were all the way down at the other end of the hallway. Where they started cleaning the rooms to begin with. So my room was probably available earlier because they clean those first however I had waited in the lobby for hours when my room sat clean and ready to be checked in. Got the room finally and then after everything I was charged $50 instead of $35 for early check-in. Never will I go to this hotel again. Also on the priceline it said it had a hottub which it does not. And the "heated" pool was barely heated. I will say that the gentleman that was working the later shift was kind and friendly as well as the person I spoke to at 6 a.m. when we left. Overall poor customer care. Very...

CHECK YOUR ROOM before you unpack! My wife and I stayed here 2 nights ago (1/14-15/17) for an overnight getaway. We arrived later than expected, but upon arrival the hotel lobby appeared clean and nicely decorated. Check-in w/ Larry was fast, polite and without problem and assigned to room 320. After we got settled we seen a small (baby) cockroach on our bedside table; I killed it and tried to remain optimistic. A short time later we seen a much larger one on the lavatory counter. I went to get my phone to take a photo, but he scurried away. However another slightly smaller one appeared, so I got a video of him. At this point we decided to check out and request a refund. We got our belongings and headed down stairs. Scott was working the desk and was very understanding, willing to process a full refund, but said in all the years he's been there he's never seen one (I showed him the video). He offered us another room (121, located just off the lobby) and allowed us to give it the white-glove inspection. We looked it up and down, inside drawers, behind tables and beds, and any place I could get my phone camera w/ BRIGHT flash and found no proof of uninvited roommates. It was about midnight by now and felt much better about this room.

Despite the less than ideal start, the staff was polite, professional and made respectable effort to resolve the issue. We didn't get an opportunity to see the pool or hottub, the kitchen for breakfast or any other part of the hotel, but we were late waking up the next morning and asked for a late check out. The young lady working the desk offered us up to 5pm w/ no additional fees. I don't know if this is policy, or if shewas aware of our experience the night before, but I thought that was very nice.

I would stay here again, but will definitely check the room very well before bringing my luggage in.

A smile and helpful attitude from staff goes so far in making a horrible experience better. Huge thanks to all 3 staff we dealt with. Wish I had gotten the woman's name the next morning to give her props along w/...
