Well it wasn't a very good experience here supposedly there was a fitness room and pool cause thats why we picked this hotel was to swim and we went into the pool room and there was construction stuff everywhere, One thing was sticking about 4 ft off the table which could have really hurt someone if we would not have seen it. Their maintenance room door was open too. Boxes and tools were everywhere around the pool area. And once my daughter started to get into the pool we noticed little dead lizards floating in the pool and told my daughter we should probably just go back to our room cause this was unreal & after being in the pool room a good 10-15 minutes, then the lady from the front desk came into the pool room with an attitude saying you can't be in here our pool is closed, I said well there is No sign on the door that says it is closed & the door was unlocked and she said well I don't know why there's no sign, there used to be but yeah we have it closed and I said well next time you need to lock your door and put a close sign up because someone could get hurt in here besides that you have dead animals floating in your pool so needless to say it was not very good stay other than the free continental breakfast it was good that was the only good thing about this hotel.😤😡🤬 And before leaving several hours later there was still no sign on the pool room door saying it was closed nor was there a sign at the front desk. It was tottally ridiculous if you ask me.

One word: Bad. Their info says that they have a pool, until you check in and are told by the uncaring clerk that it's "permanently closed". Then he gives you just 1 key, and rattles off instructions you can't understand because he's speaking too fast and in a very heavy accent. Now you have to squeeze into a single elevator which services the whole building, that is tucked away in a tiny, tight nook. Enjoy a musty smell once you open the door to your room. You walk in and see very beat up furniture. The desk lamp doesn't turn on. You find only shampoo but no conditioner. Lovely mold and dirt cake the shower. Look up and marvel at the cracked ceiling. Look down at the filthy floors. You call the front desk and ask if they can bring an extra set of bedding, and are told by the clerk, who is too busy playing on his phone, to come down and get it yourself instead. Breakfast is all prepackaged, cheap items without any fresh fruits or meats. Oh, and the clerk signs you up for the Wyndham Rewards program without your consent, so you get spammed after you leave.

We traveled from Florida to Michigan and decided to take our time and stay 2 nights on the road and not push it. Our first stay in Forsyth Ga was at a La Quinta in the King Suite and it was fantastic. So we booked the same room type at the La Quinta in Elizabeth town Kentucky. On arrival there was no coffee in the lobby or water decanter, which most have. As we entered the room, which was set up the same, we discovered it to be very unkept. On the side of the bed by the base our pet pulled out blueberries. Along the King bed base was a phone charger, random wrappers, loose change, and food crumbs. Along the desk were small Styrofoam bowls left from a previous stay. The window sill has debris on them and every corner of the ceiling has cob webs. We did not have coffee cups for the maker, or enough towels for a shower. I voiced my concerns and after an hour of settling in and cleaning it up we were offered another room which we declined. I guess we will look for another La Quinta in the Elizabeth town area that adheres to corporate standards.

Check-in: I reserved my room through another website. When I had arrived for check-in, I thought the desk clerk did a good job checking us in. They provided us with enough information to get through our night i.e. pool hours, breakfast time, etc.

Room: I had a deluxe room which seemed well taken care of through the years of many people passing through. The room had a seperate living area with a couch (pull out bed) and flat screen tv, a wet bar sink, bathroom with toliet and shower, a separate sink outside of the bathroom, a sleeping area with two queen beds, a second tv, microwave, and mini fridge, desk, ac/heating unit, closet with a extra blanket and iron with ironing board.

Room issues: The mini fridge does it job but there is no freezer compartment.

Couch with pull out bed-the matress is a bit thin and springy. We used the extra blanket as a matress cover since the room did not provide one.

Bathroom-Yes it seems a bit dated but it is not a concern for me. The concern is the slippery tub, with a combination of water and soap. To counter the the situation, I used a towel to provide some sort of foot traction for my child.

Pool-The water looked a bit murky. Pool towels are available at the desk but once they run out, you may get floor towels.

Other informatiom: Laundry Room is a bit dated but does gets the job done. It is coin operated so bring some quarters.

Some of the items provided at breakfast include: waffle batter, waffle maker, syrup, scrambled eggs, potatoes, mini muffins, bread, yogurt, apples, oranges, juice, coffee, cereal, and milk.

Overall: The hotel provided us with a good place to rest for a day. Also, the area is located within walking distance to multiple...

Let me say it was out of true desperation of needing a place to stay that we pulled in here.

We were greeted in the lobby with the foul odor of fabuluso, a child running around & staff sitting with get on the couch with feet in the seat and their literally rear-end hanging out of their clothes. This should have been our hint.

Aarp & senior citizens discount was verbally told to be accepted, but not applied.

The luggage cart is not usable with the narrow hall to the elevator, they have an ill place half circle table just outside the elevator on the lobby floor. The staff laughes when someone struggles with the luggage cart, elevator & hall way.

The rooms APPEAR clean, the floor has hidden holes and dips under the carpet- be careful that is a fall risk.

The bathroom- UTERLY DISGUSTING!! There was fecal matter from the front of the toilet paper holder, all the way around behind the toilet to the shower. There was a white growth from the wall about 2 inches of on the floor. The door jam & door were so black from being touched, it was hard to believe it was ever cleaned.

This was reported to the front desk, with little to no reaction.

The breakfast, I would avoid, unless you like stale food, film on juices, cold coffee, hot water, chunky milk and true paper small rinse your mouth size Dixie cups.

WIFI is a joke!

If all this had been seen before 8pm, we would not have stayed. we were there less than 12 hours, just needed sleep to safely continue driving. WILL NOT RETURN This is on our path to and from Medical treatment...

We were told there was 1 room left but they would need to check it because someone checked into it and then checked back out. I asked why they checked out, and if there was something wrong with the room. She said no, the room was fine. However, the room smelled like feet when we walked in, and the toiletries that would normally be set out were not all there. Shampoo was there, lotion and conditioner were not, and the soap dish was not clean. Also, the hand towels hanging up were not all there, some gone and not replaced. And the ones that were there were not set up for a new customer. Looks like someone had used it and put it back. The hangers in the closet were all spread out and looked like a client had removed the clothes and the plastic laundry bag was missing. Normally the closet would be straightened up and the laundry bag replaced. It just seems that someone used the room before us. However, the city’s hotel rooms were all full and we needed to stop driving for the night. The bed sheets appeared to be clean, and we were only staying there for a few hours to sleep. The next morning, my husband couldn’t find any coffee in the breakfast area during breakfast hour, so we checked out and left. The room was disappointing because someone went and checked it before we checked in, but it wasn’t clean. The pool was closed down by the health department according to a sign on the pool door. This room was almost $300, but not worth that. Upon checkout, the lady wouldn’t speak to me, even after I spoke to her asking...
