I was very excited to go to this brewery. It looked like a cool atmosphere and a great beer list. The three beers I tried were very good. However, this is all that I got to try since the service was terrible. I was at this brewery for over an hour and there was no follow up after getting my initial order which occured shortly after arrival. I was never asked if I wanted anything else, which I did, or any other form of discussion. After I gave up and wanted to leave, it took over 15 minutes to get her attention to pay my bill. I would think it was evident that I was going to want more since I started a tab and handed over my credit card. I wish I could give a name but there was no name tags and I did not get much of an opportunity to ask.
One of the charms of craft breweries is engaging the staff and brewers about their product and process. In many cases, this is what sells the place more than the beer itself. From the point I walked in to the time I left, the place was not tremendously busy. It was between 12:45 and 2 pm on a Friday. I saw four people in Mikerphone shirts walking in and out of the bar area, made eye contact with most of them, with no response or acknowledgement.
This place has a great concept and the beers I experienced were great too. However, I walked in excited and left frustrated. I have never had an experience like this in a craft brewery and have been to well over a hundred breweries at this point. This was not a great first impression. I will not...
Read moreBeer was good. Atmosphere was good. However I would like to lodge one complaint.
We purchased cans of beers. We opened them and were drinking outside on their patio area. One of the bartenders came outside picking up empty glasses and saw our table and panicked and brought her boss. He immediately took our beers(with little conversation) and said we could not drink the cans outside. There were ZERO signs that indicated that. I understand that's their rule and that's ok. But the issue here is they treated us like we were purposely doing this or repeat offenders when really it was out third time at this place. We just genuinely did not know that was the rule. But to be treated like we were purposely rule breakers. That's a line crossed that my group did not appreciate. The manager did not even try to explain as to why that's their rule or cite a city code. It was just really rude and inconsiderate on his part. We genuinely did not know that was their rules. Bartenders didn't say anything when we bought the cans and we did not close our tab out with the intention of buying more. But to be treated like bad apples..not appreciated one bit. Its not even posted on their website.
Otherwise the beer itself is good. Bingo was fun. Music was good. Again I did not mean to drag thee manager through the mud like that, but the treatment was not appreciated one bit given no prior warnings and no signs posted at...
Read moreI don't really know what they are trying to accomplish here with two separate entrances, two bars separated by a wall, but still connected by an opening serving the same beers, one has communal seating and the other has sofas with some tables. They also have a patio for your enjoyment and is dog friendly. All of the beers that I tried were very good and I specifically liked the double dry-hopped New England IPA super special sauce. The problem with this place is that they don't have a set of regular beers in their menu. They switch all of their beers on a regular basis. That's why I didn't give them 5 stars. It's ok to experiment with some beers but not all of them. If I go to a place and like something specifically, I would like to go back and enjoy it over and over again. I know that all breweries are trying to reinvent the beer industry, but remember that the big guys didn't become successful buy switching the products that made them popular. Oh well, hopefully next time I go back I can find...
