First time customers my family and I had Thanks-Giving dinner here yesterday and we were not very happy. I'm a pretty laid back person and given the place was crowded with the staff seeming a bit over-worked..hey I get it and am sympathetic to a point, but as the night went on it was hard to be understanding after a while. Where to start: First of all the Turkey meal I ordered tasted pretty terrible. Didn't like the gravy at all. The stuffing was even worse..couldn't eat it. The turkey was just ok, a bit dry...and the mashed potatoes were terrible and watered down with too much of the nasty gravy drowning out the whole plate. On top of this the food was basically cold on the plate when it arrived. The cranberries were tiny and in a small plastic container. Something I'd expect eating from a fast food place and not a nice restaurant. Additionally there were no other fixings standard with a Thanksgiving meal. Just turkey with stuffing and mashed potatoes. That's It! Green bean Casserole anyone? Then the pumpkin pie came at the end and I thought to myself oh good. NOPE The pie itself wasn't terrible, but wasn't anything special either. Quite frankly the cheap little pumpkin pies at McDonald's right now I think taste a lot better and that's sad. The worst part about it was the pie was ice cold and not heated up at all. Might have tasted reasonable if it were heated up like pie is supposed to be at dinner when you serve it! I finished it but it was far from a pleasant experience. On top of all this I think it's crazy this place charges money for refills on soda. As if it's not already expensive enough as it is! I eat out a lot and I don't know of any other restaurant that charges for refills on soda! Insane and so I didn't order a soda! Not worth it! Prices were pretty high in general considering the low quality food and fairly poor service. Our table was missing silverware for a while. It was corrected but took some time. Now the thing that really bugged me the most out of the whole experience is this: My Grandmother is an 84 year old woman. She doesn't eat much and didn't want to order a whole big meal. She wanted something very simple. She noticed Hot Dogs in the kids menu. Now I get it she's not a kid....but still she's an 84 year old woman and all she wanted was a hot dog! Also note your charging over $7 for one kids hot dog??!! That's Insane! Yet she wanted one and the waitress told her she couldn't have a hot dog of any kind. Would it really have been that much trouble to get my 84 year old Grandmother a freaking hot dog? I mean seriously! The old expression the customer is always right ring a bell to any of you? We were spending a lot of money here and all she wants is a dam hot dog. 50 cents worth of food if that even and she was told no. Just crazy! Very disappointing experience to say the least. The decor of the place was decent..nice warm lighting. The food other than the turkey meals looked decent. Beyond that though it was not good and I cannot...
Read moreThis was my father's favorite restaurant, which was a selection for every occasion we chose to meet with our family. It turns out that we went at the least appropriate time to celebrate my father's birthday. It turns out from the moment we arrived we perceived something wrong about the waitress who was there. What happened to us was someone who was despotic, without a desire to give us good service. My father asked her about the appetizers they give when we sat down and she answered that it is served when you come for lunch. So my father told her, okay, please bring us the ones. lunch menu and they ignore us but my father came back and asked him again if he was going to bring us what we wanted and he answered us incorrectly when you placed your order I brought you and he never brought us but that's not enough of that he was somewhat despotic towards us he didn't have the same kindness like the other customers but that wasn't the worst my father repeated three times my mother wanted pancake not toast and she said that's what she ordered she really meant that we were them you ignored them the worst was more of that when she brought us the bill I came including her own that she wanted us to give her, what a nerve as a waitress, my father and I went to the front to tell her this is an insult to us, it is not because of the amount of her own but for slapping us with a white glove after service What she gave us, my father is used to leaving him more than what she put in the bill. There was no need to show him the despots of this servant, so we decided for the future not to go to that restaurant again and give them that our experience....
Read moreI was really excited to bring my mom and I to a new place to eat. Seeing the photos of this cute restaurant and a photo of a dog I was more at ease for my service dog and I to experience a new place. It takes me a long time to work up the courage to visit new places, especially restaurants due to my disabilities. Walking in I was nervous already, the man at the desk looked at us and walked us to the back corner of the restaurant away from people. He told my mom “There’s people here that may not like dogs” his reason to sit us away from everyone. My mother informed the host kindly that he is a service dog. Where he replied “I love dogs” and walked off. Please be aware this is segregation which is against ADA laws, though my main concern is it set for an unwelcoming and uncomfortable atmosphere. I wrote this review so fellow service dog teams can have a heads up and hopefully not experience this when they dine here in the future. Sadly I will not be returning, I had high hopes in potentially finding a good diner to visit frequently with friends and family.
On a positive note we loved the food! The chefs in the kitchen did a spectacular job! My mother ordered a spinach wrap but got a flour wrap instead but she absolutely raved about it. She usually doesn’t eat fries but she enjoyed how crispy and fresh they were. To the kitchen staff, thank you for the delicious meal! I do recommend to try the food and hopefully this review helps management educate staff on service animals and better practice for the next team who may visit. I don’t want this to discourage any fellow service dog teams or diners but just a friendly and...
