La Fiesta Alteña Elk Grove — Restaurant in Elk Grove

My family and friends have been coming here since it first open. Their food is incredibly tasty and consistent. Staff is friendly and service is extremely fast. However, I knocked down stars because they have been consistent at not getting “to go” orders right. They always give you a regular burrito when you pay for a super burrito. They also don’t add guacamole or sour cream to items, even after they have charged you for it. This has been going on before the Covid debacle. I went back one time and showed them that the order was wrong and they handled it very well. They made my order right and even let me keep the wrong items. This was excellent on their part but I hate to have to do this every time I do take out. So, it became a strictly dine in restaurant, in order to avoid the problem. Because for some reason they always get the order right, when you dine in.

Anyways, I did a take out order today because Covid gives you no other choice and guess what? All burritos were regular and no sour cream or guacamole, even when I paid for it. I recommend the place because their food is excellent, but be weary when adding extras or ordering burritos. I guess them saving a few bucks it’s worth a few stars...

Wanted some Mexican food and found this place. Parking is a bit confusing but they do have parking in the back. Just follow the arrows. We thought it was for drive thru but it’s not lol. I ordered pozole and my boyfriend got a carne asada burrito. The pozole was flavorful and everything I was craving for. They gave me plenty of topping and tostadas with it. I’ve been looking for a place with pozole and have found my new go to. My boyfriend wasn’t a fan of the burrito as it completely fell apart and that was a bit disappointing. The decor was like most Mexican restaurants and it was blasting Mexican music so that was cool. The service could’ve been a bit better as they were on their phone for a while before I had ordered. They also let you get agua frescas when you order a regular drink. Most places up-charge for that but this one did not so I loved that. There was also a wide variety of sauces from salsa, guacamole and hot sauces. I enjoyed each and every one of those. Looking forward to coming here regularly for pozole.

Originally from LA, the city of competition, grind, wake up before your competitor close up after your competitors. We as the consumers, reep the benefits by eating great food from early morning til after midnight even during the week.

Norcal, has a lot of great qualities but food wasnt one of them. So after moving to norcal 7 years ago I sadly but quickly accepted the mediocre food as food. Since moving up there may have been 2 Mexican food spots that wowed me. One is a food truck. This is the 3rd.. Tortilla was what it was supposed to be, soft, holds all the ingredients, but little to no taste. This is how tortillas are supposed to be. Lack of flavor ensures we only taste the goodness flavors inside of the taco and soft but doesn't break. Meat was marinated, not salty, not overcooked, fresh cilantro, onions, pico de gallo sauces. This shows they care about what they an attribute absent from a lot of people.
