I visited Space To Play this afternoon with my 19 month old son. I heard they opened recently and wanted to give it a shot. I am always on the lookout for things to do locally with my kiddo.
First impression: I think the location is great and easy to find. The facility is nicely sized but not too big where you can lose sight of your child. The majority of the place is open space with lots of toy stations and activities. It is clean and well put together.
During our time there: my son played for about two hours non stop. He was very occupied with the variety of toys and age appropriate stimuli. I felt this was very Montessori forward which was a major pro in my opinion. My son can easily get overwhelmed in play centers but I could genuinely see him engaging with toys calmly and happily. He never seemed stressed or frustrated with the setup. I felt the selection of toys and structures were perfect. Eventually he got tired and was ready to go home (but really didn’t want to leave the toys!)
Overall: the owner/staff were excellent. They truly care about the kiddos and making this a magical environment. My son had a lot of fun and we will definitely be returning.
In a few words I would describe this location as having a good atmosphere, fun,...
Read moreI noticed this play space when I passed by during my lunch one day. I decided to take my 3 year old and 5 year old here after school yesterday. They normally don't enjoy play spaces because of the loud noises (music), big crowds (they get intimidated by other kids running around) and can get over stimulated easily. We usually end up leaving play spaces after 30 minutes because my kids get annoyed and want to leave. However, this was not the case at all at this play space. My kids found a sense of comfort when they first walked in and then they immediately wanted to dive right in and play with everything. My son was mesmerized by the glow room and found it to be very calming. My daughter loved the pretend play areas as there were so many options for her. The play structure and jumper was the perfect size for my kids where I didn't have to worry about them getting stuck or hurt when they played on their own. The staff were very kind and happy to answer any questions I had. There were even snacks/drinks for sale which was extremely helpful and the prices are super reasonable! My kids ended up playing for almost two hours! The next morning my kids asked me if I could take them to the play space again after school. I guess that means...
Read moreParents of toddlers and babies- run don’t walk! This place is my saving grace. Great toys, sensory activities, a baby area, and an amazing art room. Unlike others, A Space To Play focuses on the needs of parent as well as the kids. Theres always coffee, tea, and water available. Cups, plates, straws it’s all stocked if you need it. Books, chargers in case your phone dies, comfy sitting areas, and the set up allows me to see all 3 of my kids at once instead of running around all the time. The snacks for purchase are TOP TIER and the best part is there is a changing area stocked with a changing pad, diapers, and wipes. Theres also a quiet room with a rocking chair that I used many times to feed or just take a time out in. As a mom of toddlers, I love to come here. Chivaun, the owner, is so sweet and truly cares about kids- you can see the love and hard work she pours in when you look around. Thank you for being part of our community and for literally saving my sanity with 3...
