This is sad. I gave this BK 4 stars some time ago. Now I'm editing my review and giving it 1 star (Google wont let me give it a 0). I have no idea what is going on with this establishment but it is following a similar pattern with all of the BK's that I use to visit. They all start off doing great, then slowly die off. Well, it is in my opinion that this one is very very close to if not at the precipice of dying off like its predecessors. I really wanted to try this place out. I used the app to order. Figured that would be a great way to swing by and pick up a quick bite. About 40 minutes pass and nothing. Show up to pick up my order and guess what... it's a complete ghost town; nobody home. I couldn't really understand, it was mid afternoon on a Saturday. McDonalds accross the street was busy. I cancelled my order (which you can't do on the app btw). I had to contact BK support and create a support ticket and as to politely cancel my order and refund my money (which will now take 3-5 business days). On the positive side, BK was quick to respond (like under 10 min). Here's the question on my mind, why oh why would the app let you make an order that can't and won't be filled in the first place?
Anyways, done ranting, here's my review:
PROS: -BK app: good app, speedy customer service (sadly nothing to do with this particular BK location). -Peaceful, all it needs is tumbleweeds. -Signage was fixed. Instead of "drive thur" it reads "drive thru."
CONS: -No service whatsoever on a Saturday afternoon. -Waste of time. -Unpredictable. -Inconsistent.
CONCLUSION: I really really want to give this place a really great review again. I want to see the big guys battle it out again in an epic fast food battle royale; McDonalds vs. Burger King but that's not happening here... I use to like this place. It was busy, the food was good (for fast food) and the atmosphere had an overall positive vibe. I use to smell the aroma of char broiled burgers every time I came around this establishment. Now all I smell is the Canadian forest fire smoke and the musty, eerie atmosphere of post pandemic...

To the owners of this store - Contact me. I worked here for 6 years and have some intresting things to tell you. And possibly show you as well. If you care about your store and how its ran then please get in contact. I can also bring along a dozen former workers who would love to talk to you as well about issues you should be made aware of. I'm tired of staying quiet. I gave my all to this company to be discarded over not being able to go to Albertville any longer to keep helping that store out when I was told it was just for a week or two anyways. Over a month later i still was going to Albertville when i started having car issues. Elk River is my primary store, not Albertville. E.R is 5 minutes walking distance even if i had car problems, i can still make it to my primary store. But literally after giving that store my blood, sweat and tears...for years..(and didn't mind giving all that cause it was home) it got me nowhere.. just tossed like garbage cause i couldnt make it to Albertville anymore. How is that even right? you can tell I'm still hurt about it all because i wanted to move up in the company so badly and all my hard work got me nowhere over not being able to commute to a store that's not even my primary. Anyways please get in contact. I'd like to show and talk to you about...

So I backed up to the window and the two female employees were laughing and talking to people on the other side of the counter. One of them handed cash to the worker and she pocketed it. The other worker looked right at me and wouldn't come to the window. Finally after 5 min she comes to the window and I politely asked if I could get more onion rings as I paid $3 and it was not even half way filled. She replied with oh no I made sure they were filled to the top. I said, well I'm sorry but their weren't. Only 1 fell into the bag so I know she didn't fill it. She then closes the window and goes and tells the people on the other side of the counter and they all are laughing and just standing there. The non employee people then come to the back and start touching stuff. 10 minutes go by and they are laughing and keep going back and forth....
