I googled Starbucks and saw the Elk River location was open on Christmas. I live in Otsego and drove 15 min there. Put a mobile order in at 12:25 when I got to the parking lot and waited in my car. At 12:45- I attempted to walk in and the doors were locked so I called. A girl named Jordan answered and said they were way too busy and that I should call Starbucks customer service and get a refund. Although I understand they are backed up- I put an order in while they were still accepting orders. Instead I wasted 1 whole hour between driving and waiting for a coffee I didn’t get and paid for. For a company that has always prided them self on customer service and the friendly barista that knows your name and your order. This experience did not live up to that. Im not sure why they would not have been able to take our order at the register if they could still ring up the drive through. Hopefully this does not become a standard practice. Read moreI came in to order coffee and some food with a friend, and they didn't have my regular order, so I asked if I could a different item, and she said "anything else," so I thought she had heard me; I said no, and I paid. I was then waiting for my food after I got my coffee and someone else politely asked if I was waiting for something. I told her I was waiting for my sandwich, and the girl. Who took my order overheard and rudely said to me that "you didn't even order a sandwich; I asked you if you wanted it, and you didn't respond. But I mean, I can put it in for you."
